Heart Vision

Hearts beat underneath the flesh and bone of man. Spirits breathe and live to see the Heavens beyond the expanse of time and space. Your eyes sees more than what they see. You were designed this way. To see with the heart. To see beyond the tangible.

Jesus operates with heart vision. He does not stop at the first glance. He sees into the depth of what rests beyond it. Jesus carries you forward because He perceives the layout of the universe in every dimension.

“For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

Eyes roam the earth. Every millisecond. Every moment. Every hour. Every day. All the earth is covered with this surveillance from the Almighty. His vision goes deeper than the substance of His eyesight. He sees down deep into the truth of every heart.

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Jesus is the Word of God. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” God breathed creation into existence by the Word of God, Jesus Himself. He sees everything. He understands how everything works. He notices every detail of our lives.

Jesus discerns our thoughts.

Jesus discerns our intentions.

Jesus knows our feelings.

Jesus pierces the soul with His eyes of fire, perceiving every substance residing within us.

“Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am.” John 8:58

What do you see with your eyes? Is it the visual in front of you or the heart behind the image?

Jesus sees through everything. Image cannot convince him of reality when the truth lies beneath the surface level. Jesus knows what is really going on. He hears everything and looks to come close to you in everything. He is not a distant God. He loves to know you like this.

Before a word is spoken, He knows it. It’s one of the perks of being God.

“Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.” Psalm 139:4

Be known by the One who sees with heart and spirit vision.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

Why do we need to see what is unseen? The unseen informs the seen. The supernatural world informs the natural world. The spiritual world informs the visible world. We want to see with the spirit of God that understands the people and situations around us at a heart level. So Jesus awakens you to see with eyes of heart vision.

Heaven is only a blink away. Our limited vision by the physical world right now cannot eliminate our capacity to receive His spirit. You can connect to God right now. You can learn about Heaven right now. You can experience God right now. Through your heart that has become regenerated through Jesus.

“I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.” Jeremiah 24:7

Not only does God awaken your heart to see the unseen parts of His heart, but He also gives you a heart to be able to know and understand Him. We need our hearts for vision and for understanding. Your heart increases your knowledge of God.

“I will give them a heart to know Me,” says God. He wants you to know HIM!

God wants a heart connection with you!

When you love someone through your heart connection, it deepens your understanding of the other. It engenders oneness and empathy. Understanding and relatability. You grow closer to someone whom you connect with in the heart. So give your heart to the Lord in every way as you connect with Him throughout your day. Open your heart and speak freely. He wants you to treasure His heart too. Thank you, Lord, that you long to be adored by us. See into our hearts and find our love awaiting Your return.

  1. Beautifully Written. You are a gifted writer. You just expressed everything the Lord has been teaching me recently. Fixing my eyes on Jesus and the things that are eternal and unseen is what I long to do and strive to to daily.
