Affirming Love

Love consumes the heart of God. He loves affirmation of love’s affection poured out over His Beloved. Love stirs the hearts of God. He continually sings His love notes over you night and day, in every way, His Spirit says you are His treasured one.

Jesus’ people receive the gift of His affirmative love. His expressive love. His edifying love.

Jesus makes promises to those desire Him. We read about these promises in Matthew 5, as Jesus declares blessings.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

Pure desire for Jesus opens the gateway to seeing Him. This desire stems from the initiation of His heart’s own pursuit of you in love. When you choose the Lord, you begin a journey of life with Him more enriching than any other way of life. Jesus’ way of life satisfies the heart the way it was designed to be satisfied.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3

Peace flows like a river in your heart when you follow the simple pathway of His love’s leading. The Holy Spirit guides you closer to Him all the while, as you discover His love is the highest love.

“As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love.” John 15:9

Jesus affirms you with love.

You don’t need anyone else to verify it. Jesus’ words are enough.

Jesus never stops telling you how much He loves you.

Jesus’ love is truth.

The affirmation of His love is constant and trustworthy. Never fluctuating. God’s love is firmly founded on the foundation of His vow to you that He loves you forever. Nothing destroys that love.

Jesus gives His glory to His Beloved.

“The glory that you have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as you loved Me.” John 17:22-23

Jesus lights up from His people showcasing His glory. This marks oneness with Him.

“All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.” John 17:10

Jesus tells the Father how much He adores His people because His love for them overflows from His heart. He cannot help but to enunciate His passion because He is “glorified in them,” He says. Our existence makes His glory amplify. Jesus likes it when His people amplify His glory and when He can honor His people for how they reflect who He is.

“And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.” John 17:19

Jesus leads by example. He first consecrates Himself. Then, this creates the capacity for us to grow spiritually strong in truth. We can only grow in our spiritual lives with Jesus because He took the first step of loving us.

Jesus will always love you.

Jesus will always adore you.

Jesus will always desire you.

Jesus will always provide for you.

Jesus will always calm you.

Jesus will always rejuvenate you.

Jesus will always be delighted in you.

Jesus will always complete you.

We thank You, Jesus, that You are our lifeline and the lover of our souls.
