All-powerful. Multifaceted. Trinitarian. Ever-present. God keeps the power running in the universe.
God never runs out of power, stamina and strength. He maintains His reign, rule and sovereignty. On Earth, He was King. In Heaven, He is King. God is God. There will never be a greater God than Jesus.
“Thus says God, the Lord,
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people on it
and spirit to those who walk in it:
6 “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations.” Isaiah 42:5-6
Breathe life given from the God of Heaven and earth. Feel your Spirit alive inside you from His power. Stars shine because He tells them to. The sun heats Earth because He tells it to. God keeps the power running.
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
God created everything seen and unseen for His delight. God takes pleasure in the universe He made, and this is proven by the fact He keeps it running. The world has not yet stopped. God sustains it. But one day, God plans to create a new Earth and a new Heaven where perfection will permeate every part of its dwelling. God makes sure that His plan for eternity comes to fruition.
“And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17
God possesses all power to hold things together and to break things apart. He decides. He is the author of the entire blueprint.
“The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.” Psalm 29:4-5
God’s voice carries power.
God’s voice runs the universe.
God’s voice breaks what needs to be broken and puts together what needs to be put together. Jesus showed His disciples the power of this principle when He broke bread at the Passover table with them before He was crucified. By breaking the bread to give them to eat, He demonstrated the necessary path of being made whole with God. Jesus’ broken body made us whole because He sacrificed Himself for our salvation.
“You are the Lord, you alone. You have made Heaven, the Heaven of Heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of Heaven worships You.” Nehemiah 9:6
God runs Heaven.
God runs earth.
God remains in charge. Nothing is outside His awareness. God was in charge before time began and He will be in charge long after eternity begins. No one takes His place as God.
God uses His people to run His missions. God uses His people to accomplish His works.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12
God loves to empower us with the same power He has. God wants us to do supernatural things that He orders so that He can bring people into His passionate, miraculous love. Jonah was commanded by God to go to Nineveh and preach the gospel of repentance to a people far from God, because God wanted to give them another chance. Jesus Himself intercedes for us in Heaven because He never runs out of power to advocate for us.
God is your advocate.
Long after Jesus died for our sins, He still takes action to protect us and call us to Himself.
“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” Isaiah 40:29
God’s power not only runs the universe, but it runs your vitality. God’s power gives you power. God’s power gives you love. God’s power gives you peace. God’s power gives you rest. God’s power gives you strength. God’s power gives you energy. God’s power gives you wisdom. God’s power gives you everything you need for life.
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of who called us to His own glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1:3
God’s power gives you and I every asset for our purpose in life.
“Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” Romans 8:34
Jesus died for you… AND…
Jesus intercedes for you now.
Jesus does double duty. So, there will never be anyone who can condemn you and stand before God with that condemnation against you. Jesus already paid for it and covered you. He runs the universe. So, He is in charge of what happens to you. No one else. Trust Jesus with your life and you are held in perfect grace and care for all eternity.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2
Dwelling in God’s presence keeps you abiding in His presence. You stay with the one you live with. Live with God on your mind and in your heart every second, and He keeps you tethered to Him in love. You want to be connected to the powerful One: Jesus. He awakens the human soul.
waterfalls dream
of rivers’ deep
and ocean seas
where freedom rings
to feel the wings
of angels touching
down on earth
see Gods’
power at work
in creation’s rebirth
of land and sky
lifting their eyes
to see The King
ascending on high
His power will never end
our hearts beat forever
because of Him
“And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.”
1 Corinthians 6:14
