“I want more of you, Skye.”

“All I want is to make love to her right here among the tapestry of Zion’s grapes. We’ve already waited so long,” he thinks. “To know my Lilly most intimately… not even the poetry of Solomon’s finest song could encapsulate the moment of bliss.”

His hands slowly graze over my neck and down the middle of my chest. He kisses my neck with delicate ease. My hands run through his hair and I open my eyes to Zion’s light glowing around us. The roses beside me glow like neon plum and red. The lights above scintillate and change like gold against a backdrop of black cherry and teal blue, like the northern lights. Ethereal are my eyes at the sight of the radiation. But my body is heating up at the feeling of his hands now navigating to my waist. That’s where Captain Leafe touched me.

I tremble.

Skye looks up and touches my face.

“Forget about Leafe,” he exclaims with blue eyes of sapphire. “Eternity belongs to you and me.”

He strokes my face and my hair lovingly. My hands touch his hands and he brings them up to my heart. “Do you feel this?” he asks me with a smile. “This is your heartbeat when you are with me.”

“I’ll never forget the way it felt when you pulled that piece of coral reef out of my leg atop Jump Cliff,” I say playfully. “I thought you were a monster! I couldn’t break free fast enough!”

He laughs at the recollection and squeezes me tight with a quick kiss. “It’s my job to protect you by any means necessary, Lilly. I am your angel, after all,” he smirks. “Angels are fierce.”
