Eyes wide open. Spirit fully sober. Hands fully operable. Heart intrinsically sustainable. God stays awake with consistency without any caffeine energy to keep Him functioning. His innate ability to function at nights capacity comes from His identity as GOD.

“Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm‬ ‭121‬:‭4‬ ‭

God never sleeps because He is always reigning.  Always orchestrating. Always healing. Always redeeming. Always loving. Always doing something. Jesus does not waste time because He has you in His hands to watch over every second of the day and night. 

Even when God is at rest He is still in charge, working behind the scenes and staying mindful of the universe and its future plans.

“Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber; save yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the hand of the fowler. Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.” Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭

Don’t rely on someone else to tell you what to do. Be a self starter like Jesus. He waits for no one to poke and prod Him into doing His work. He depends on no one to get Him where He intends to go. He anchors His mission on truth. 

“A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing.” Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭ 

Jesus Christ gives you rejuvenation more than procrastination does. His rest comes from an internal well of Scripture driving you forward in momentum. 

“Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— lest He come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭35‬-‭37‬ ‭

Jesus wants you to be alert every second because He is coming back soon. See it coming. Don’t be blindsided. Keep the anticipatory excitement of Jesus in your heart so that you will not be deceived by anything else.

“I will not enter my house or get into my bed, I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭132‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭

Don’t go to sleep without out talking to Jesus first. Neglecting time with Jesus spoils your rest and joy. Spending time in His presence fuels your heart and your joy. Jesus promises rest to humans who comes to Him but without spending time with Him, He cannot impart rest into your soul because you have to have communion with Him. Rest comes from intimacy with God. His love soothes your spirit.

Prioritize time with Jesus Christ and His love revives you from His love.

God is always awake so you can come to Him anytime.

God is always awake doing miracles.

God is always awake enacting justice.

God is always awake preparing Heaven for us.

God is awake

when dreamers sleep

when singers sleep

when humans sleep

His love is the deep

wells of vitality

never-ending

always reigning

King of kings
