Light me aflame and I burst into flight. Pomegranate merges with mango delight. Raspberry surges to towering heights of the clouds in a sky where the butterflies fly. How does pineapple collide with its passionfruit divine? Like a kaleidoscope of nectarine and lemon meringue pie.
It’s a mosaic thrilling you at the point of adrenaline’s vision of Heaven calling out to you… fix your eyes on the prize.
“I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14
God calls you to run after Him. To run after His mission. To run after His love. To run after His destiny given to you. It’s waiting for you. Savored for you. Chosen for you. Marked for you.
Keep running.
I want to run after you God
because You want me to
You need me to
You ask me to
love You forever
I want to love You forever
When Paul evangelized, he knew there would be a great cloud following, so he encouraged an appropriate step on his journey.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
Hebrews 12:1
Lay it aside. Take the extra clothes off. It’s weighing you down in all that humidity. The clouds are settling in now and you won’t need the jacket when the dew point rises. You have a race to run.
It’s a sin to cover your beautiful body when it only slows you down from running the race before you. You’re a stellar runner. Strip it down. Don’t let anything cling to you too tightly. You run faster without the v neck. Without the tank top too.
Don’t worry about what it looks like. There will be fans, critics, cheerleaders, and naysayers but just remember… I like to see you sweat. It looks good on you. You’re too hot to worry about what anyone else has to comment on it.
“The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.” Psalm 29:7
Your voice is the hottest voice I’ve heard. Speak out loud when you run. Motivate. Invigorate. Meditate. Recalibrate. Inspire the stories yet to be written. Listen to melodies yet to be spoken.
“Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” 2 Corinthians 15:7
Move those hands… It increases your pace exponentially. You’ve got great hands. I want to see them in action.
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Finally, stay hydrated and nourish your body. Your body needs H2O to keep up that gorgeous physique. And essential nutrients to maintain those luscious locks.
God has a course for you to run.
You have been running it since you were young and excelling at it ever since. The course of your custom-made destiny. You tailor-made heart. Your remarkably made soul that lights up God’s eyes when He watches you run. I know He does… I saw Him smiling on you because we’re on the same course. The same path. The same trajectory. Heaven-bound.
“Complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose.” Philippians 2:2
Jesus desired us to be one in Spirit, so He made us one in Spirit.
“So that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6
We illuminate the light of God together.
We ascend the heights of Heaven together.
“Lovingkindness and truth met together;
Righteousness and peace kissed each other.” Psalm 85:10
God knows how to align like-hearts together, in order to accomplish even more through them than they could individually. Paul experienced this when he partnered with Timothy in his mission efforts. Paul was a travelling evangelist and Timothy travelled with him to share about Jesus and also led at the church in Ephesus, in modern-day Turkey.
Paul enjoyed this partnership and wrote him 2 letters to speak of his love for Timothy as a kindred spirit.
“I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you.”
1 Timothy 1:3-4
Paul saw Timothy and chose him to come along for the journey Paul had in sharing the news of Jesus with people in Asia Minor. This was a big deal to be chosen by Paul. But Paul saw something in Timothy that caused him to feel his presence would amplify their ministry work. It did. Together, they ministered exponentially more and Timothy was also able to learn a breadth of knowledge and insight from Paul as well.
When you run a race, run with someone else beside you.
Good friends spur you on.
Good relationships run with you into greater missions.
Paul knew Timothy’s heart and He makes it a priority to encourage him in this affirmation.
“I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you.” 1 Timothy 1:5
God’s heart is in you.
God called you to be His voice and His vessel of light and love.
The crowds will always be watching. You have to find your confidence in God so that you anchor yourself purpose in Him. Then no matter what surrounds you, you know who you’re real audience is. I like crowds. It motivates me more and reminds me there are people who need to be touched with God’s hands. It develops my skill and determination. It reminds me people are worth having in my life.
Paul intentionally surrounded himself with people who were like-minded and kindred in spirit with him in his love for Jesus and his love for people.
When you venture through life, do it with someone who is like-minded and has similar goals and enjoyments. This increases joy for the both of you when you enjoy doing things together and have similar passions.
Opposite do attract, but birds of a feather also flock together. It’s both. When two people enjoy one another’s company there is an element of opposite characteristics that attract you and make you allured to something in the other that complements you and thrills you. But there is also an element of similar interests that compels you to feel one spirit with another. Faith in God is one major similarity that is necessary. Similar goals, hobbies, loves, giftings, passions and spirits also are important. This is why Paul said in Philippians 2:2 that he wanted the people to have “the same mind.” Because we seek to live with the mind of Christ.
When you share the same mind with another, it breeds unity and connection. Love and understanding.
You grow in intimacy with someone who shares the same spirit as you, which is why you need to align yourself with those who love Jesus with all their hearts.
“Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.” Proverbs 29:9
Your race will seem like a dance of dreams when you’re running with someone who you share like-mindedness with. Because you move in sync, like the wind and the waves.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Move in sync with God.
He wants you to be one with Him.
He wants you to go with Him wherever He goes.
Run for the glory of God.
Enjoy the path He has for you… the path that you get to choose and you get to venture out into because you want to. God gives you the freedom to pursue the life you want. Because when you fall in love with God, He puts desires in your heart (Psalm 37:4) that naturally lead you in a direction He knows both will delight you and also delight Him.
God is a good God, who loves to see His children blessed and flourishing in life.
His love sends you through the clouds.
Rocketing to the moon.
Ascending into the sun.
Keep running. Rocket through the clouds and soar into the stratosphere of Heaven’s doors awaiting on the other side. It’s where we’re meant to be one day, forever with God in eternity. Here and now, our lives mean something to God. He delights to give us joy, meaning, purpose, love, passion and fruitful abundance meant to bless our spirits and those around us. What you do attracts the clouds.
In every course, we run together. One for the glory of the Lord. You’re already victorious since He chose you and He sees radiance in you. Honor in you. Worth in you. Beauty in you. Don’t doubt it. You have the right to embrace and hold on to every spoken word from your Heavenly Father who loves you. His sons and daughters delight His heart. Forever you are His work of art. Jesus, thank you for the race you set before us to pursue You and know You more. We want to run after what You have for us. We anticipate the love still yet to shower upon us from Your hands. We love You, Lord. May Jesus bless you in every way. He is for you…
He turned you around
set your feet on solid ground
said I love you
let Me show you
what I’ve given you
my son
it’s in the clouds
where God found
a cherished love
for you to bloom
and water too
then taste anew
a glowing treasure
just for you
my King
God’s making joy
just for you
“I will make you like a signet ring on my finger, says the Lord, for I have chosen you. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”
Haggai 2:23
