Peace and calm. Pine trees sway in the forest. Katydids hum in a ballet of delicacy under the evening moon of tranquility. Voices of the angels surround me. Here, no burdens can find me. Only nature can enliven me to hear the heart of God woven in His treasury of creation.
His voice is my desired invitation. His tone and His pitch stir my soul’s invocations for more of His Spirit to invade. He says I’m here with you in every way. Amplify the voice of God.
Who are you listening to?
I only turn up the volume on angelic voices. Every other gets skipped and muted. Erased and removed from my playlist. Decide what kind of voice you want to be.
Saul knew David’s voice when he called for him in 1 Samuel 26…
“Saul recognized David’s voice and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And David said, “It is my voice, my Lord, O king.”
1 Samuel 26:17
King David knew how to answer Saul with confidence because he what kind of voice he had. It was an anointed voice. A prophetic voice. A God-inspired voice. A human voice. A passionate voice. A lovely voice.
What voice do you have?
It’s time to decide.
Verse 17 says, “Saul recognized David’s voice…” when he heard it. People recognize you by your voice. By the words you use. By the tone of your voice. By the content of your conversations. Are you joyful and cheerful? Or negative and dreadful?
“With my voice I cry out to the Lord; with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord.” Psalm 142:1
Go to God with your voice. And He will come to you with His.
“But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham My friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are My servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.”
Isaiah 41:8-9
God did not reject you… He wants to rid you of a negative voice and a negative outlook, so He can give you the blessings He has for you. You can only enjoy what God has, when you learn how to speak with a voice that aligns with His.
Listen to His voice. Learn how He speaks over you and over others. Learn from His way of talking.
Jesus knows how to speak with a perfect voice. It’s our delight to learn from Him. When Jesus stepped into the synagogue, without permission, mind you, He spoke with power and kindness for the purpose of others’ liberation. He says…
“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me,
because He has anointed Me
to preach goodnews to the poor.
He has sent Me
to proclaimfreedomto the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed.” Luke 4:18
Jesus comes to speak boldly with a voice of rescue over those He encounters. Your mess is not too much for God. He loves you… He always did… that’s why He came! Listen to His voice, not the voice of anyone else who speaks condemnation.
You are far too amazing to listen to anything other than angelic vocals.
The prophet Isaiah heard the Lord and saw Him too when He had a vision of Yahweh in Isaiah chapter 6. Isaiah was anointed by God to preach and proclaim God’s words over His people Israel. At the outset of this mission, He experiences an intimate encounter with God first-hand. He says this in chapter 6…
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, and His robe filled the temple. Seraphim were standing above Him; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another:
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts;
His glory fills the whole earth.
The foundations of the doorways shook at the sound of their voices, and the temple was filled with smoke.” Isaiah 6:1-4
The seraphim are angelic beings. They sing to the Lord in Heaven to honor The King of the universe. When angelic beings sing out to the Lord, it shakes the foundations of Heaven.
You were made to shake the foundations of Heaven with your voice unto the Lord.
“Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name.” Hebrews 13:15
Saying Jesus’ name is music to His ears. He will not settle for less than your undivided attention when you give your love to Him.
The Bible says…
“Sing praises to the Lord, O you His saints, and give thanks to His holy name.” Psalm 30:4
God commands you to worship Him with singing. Sing to Him at all times.
“What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also.” 1 Corinthians 14:15
Your worship rises from your mind when you are in a space you cannot sing aloud. Sing to Him at all times.
“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:3
Your songs of praise provoke others to see God as Savior. Sing to Him at all times.
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” Acts 16:25
People want to hear angelic voices… amplify yours and free others from their own shackles. Sing to Him at all times.
“Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!” Psalm 149:1
Angelic voices connect with other angelic voices. Sing to Him at all times.
Worship the Lord in love and you bless the heart of God.
God wants your love.
Hear His love spoken in order to receive more of guidance, wisdom, love and power.
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
Read the words of Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father in the Bible. The Bible is engaging, interesting, explosive, enriching, hooking, and meant to sharpen you more and more. God’s Word is your best asset for life’s wisdom.
God’s Word is true.
God’s Word is accurate.
God’s Word is reliable.
God’s Word is perfect and unchangeable.
Listen to God’s voice!
“Call to Me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:3
God’s voice is the most accurate voice in all of history and always will be. Why are you counting on another voice to enlighten you? He is trustworthy to lean on and learn from.
God’s voice is pure and true. Holy and good. Uplifting and effective. Separate yourself from any other negative voices. Rise up and listen to the God who loves you.
