PART 5

Jesus’ birth was prophesied throughout the generations. Jesus will be honored through all the generations.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6

Matthew’s gospel lists the genealogy of the 42 generations leading up to Jesus from Abraham.

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.”Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭

God needed a woman to accomplish His greatest mission on the earth. So He chose Mary.

“And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭30‬ ‭

God wants to be with you and have a relationship with you by name.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).” Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬

He gives glory to you and your story with Him
“Mary said, “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed.” Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭47‬-‭48‬ ‭

Christmas, the birth of Jesus, was prophesied through all the generations and His dominion will reign forever. Every day we celebrate Him and His redemption of mankind.
