God Makes Things Happen – Part 6

Part 6

God is the one who makes everything happen for His people. He is the power behind every blessing and every leading.

Abram became Abraham because of God alone.

“No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17‬:‭5‬ ‭

God makes you who you are.

“And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭

God establishes His covenant with His chosen. He speaks to you. He leads you. He makes you. He blesses you. We hear mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven from the Lord Jesus because of His own desire.

“And Jesus answered them, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven…”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ ‭

You know who God is when you are His Beloved. He tells you who He is. You can know who He is.

“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12‬:‭1-3

God made Abram the father of many nations. Everything God did for Abram was a result of God’s own power. Abram honored the Lord along the way and listened to His guidance even in uncertainty. So God named him Abraham to solidify his new identity.
