God Follows You

Who follows you? God follows you. God sees you. God trusts you. God loves you. God called you to belong to Him because He wants His presence to dwell with you everywhere you go. He always sees us. Everywhere we go.

Followed. Swarmed. Watched. Seen. God goes with me everywhere. He never leaves my side. He never leaves my sight. The Lord’s love results in dedicated proximity to His Beloved. That’s where He wants to be. Right there. With me. With you.

The Lord encircles you because He searches you out. He gets in your space. He invades your bubble. He violates the boundaries. There is nowhere we can go where God is not present.

King David’s aha moment of God’s proximity exudes in Psalm 139 as He expresses His delight in the presence of God.

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.” Psalm 139:1-2

God says… I searched for you when you did not search for Me. I claimed you as My own. I rescued you before you knew you needed Me.

We need a God who is aware of every second of our lives. Then, He can step in and be God in our lives. He is involved in every second of your day. He is aware of every thought of your heart. His involvment requires Him to be present and He is present. He sees everything. What an invasive yet comforting reality that God sees it all. And He loves you in all. But you must receive Jesus in order to connect with Him in relationship.

Secret: Jesus tries every day to connect to you.

Connect with Jesus and talk to Him to deepen your spiritual relationship with God. He already sees you. He knows you. Let Him in…

“You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Before there is not a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.” Psalm 139:3-4

Intimacy builds from knowing. Knowing comes from sharing deep thoughts and contents of the heart and spirit. This process of knowing is instantaneous for God because He does not have to try to know you and I. He knows us already because He made us. But He does try to connect wtih us by sending the Holy Spirit to connect with us and if we receive this, we can share intimacy with Him of heart, mind, soul, body and spirit.

The Lord follows you everywhere, which means He goes with us in both the holy places and unholy places. He sees the pure things and the impure things. He wants to be present in all of it. He does not wait outside while we gravitate into dark places nor stop at the edge of the road as we venture into the woods. He goes everywhere we go. Think about that… literally everywhere we go, God goes with us.

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” Psalm 139:7-8

go with me to the depths

go with me to the heights

carry me high

in Your wings

like an angel in flight

You are my King

You are

my lover

my healer

my peace

The Lord follows you with goodness and mercy all the days of your life says Psalm 23. You will never be in lack because His generosity flows relentlessly to you forever. David knew this from experience as the King of Israel who God loved in every situation of his life. Through death, murder, adultery, discouragement, war, and assaults, God took care of David and called him a man after God’s own heart.

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” Psalm 139:17

God cannot stop thinking about you. ❤️

Heaven awaits you and I because of God’s mercy and goodness, the same mercy and goodness that propelled Jesus to the cross. Because Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit are one. The way Jesus feels about you is the way the Father feels about you too. He is a loving Father. He loves to be in proximity to us.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

The house of the Lord is a safehouse. A loving house. A powerful house. A healing house. a miraculous house. A blooming house. A palace of epic proportions. Get ready for the love you have been waiting for. Jesus’ love. Jesus will always be with you.
