God Is Your Comforter – Part 3

Part 3

The Lord comforts His people. Jesus shows compassion because His heart overflows with love.

“Comfort, comfort My people, says your God.” Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭1‬ ‭

Strength in the Lord necessitates receiving comfort from the Lord at times. It is not weak to receive comfort. It is vital to your blood flow. Without comfort pouring into your spirit from the Lord, we would have zero comfort to pour out to others in their time of need.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

Leaders who follow and learn from Jesus know how to comfort like He does through speaking with kindness and tenderness.

Jesus’ heart is full of love for you. He knows how to comfort you. He is both the Lion and the Lamb. His zeal works in tandem with His gentleness because He cares for His flock like a good shepherd.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭15‬ ‭

Jesus does not crush the spirit of His people. Jesus is a comforter. Jesus is the way to life.

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.” Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬ ‭

Jesus lays down His life for His people.
