Command Love

God’s presence commands the room with love and Heavenly rainfall of living water. God’s presence commands the earth with His reign of eternal preeminence and infinite bliss. God’s presence commands our hearts to love Him endlessly with forever in mind because we want to. We need to. We have to give Him every moment of our adoration.

God’s presence commands attention, authority, and a hunger for more. And He fills this hunger for more with what the spirit longs for: love. ♥️

We were made to be loved by God because He wants His people to live loved. We were made to love God because our hearts ignite with life when we do.

God’s Spirit is love.

God’s heart is love.

God’s gift to you is love when you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jesus loves you with perfect love that your soul was designed to receive.

Love makes you want to do what God says. Love cultivates respect, and respect cultivates trust.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3

Jesus commands love because He models love.

“Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.” John 13:1

The disciples learned the tire and pure definition of true love because of their close proximity and relationship with Jesus. “He loved them to the end,” verse 1 says.

If you want to get better at love, read the life of Jesus and study the actions of Jesus. Everything He says is love and everything He does is love.

“And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” Ephesians 5:2

You are loved by God! You are treasured by Jesus! Embrace God’s love for you and rest in this truth forever.

“And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭37‬ ‭

When Jesus died on the cross, there is a moment where He commands one of His disciples to love his mother for him in his place. When Jesus commands love, He does so because He knows the one He is asking is capable of such a request.

Can God trust you with the command of love? Can He ask you to love and know that you will?

God commands love in the Word of God because this is the secret to everything in our lives with Him.

“When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” John 19:26

Jesus commanded John to love his mother since He was departing from their presence. After He would rise from the grave, He would still be leaving the earth to ascend to Heaven, and he needed someone to look after his mother. Jesus tells us to love because this is where true life and wholeness is found.

In Deuteronomy 6, Jesus instructed the Israelites with the most important commandment of all: to love Him.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Jesus’ presence commanded love as He walked on the earth, because He is the Son of God. He is love. His sacrifice sets an example for us to follow if we want to walk in His footsteps of love.

“We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16

command the room

with one tune

of love

command the house

with one loud

shout of

hallelujah

command your space

command your days

to dance awake

with love that commands

the oceans to rise

and mountains to fall

before the Lord

of Heaven and earth
