No Shame In God’s Love

His love makes you feel unashamed. Jesus’ love. Heaven’s love. His love makes you fearless. Jesus’ love. Infinite love. His love is the purest love, the highest love, the greatest love, the most glorious love in existence: Jesus’ love.

Jesus encircles you with His presence. His Holy Spirit. He embraces you wholly and passionately because He knows everything about you.

Jesus’ love completes your heart with its deepest need. His love is our deepest need.

This is why God teaches us to love Him first.

Loving God first nurtures your heart, mind, body, soul and spirit.

“You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.” Psalm 145:16

How can Jesus satisfy our desires? By giving us eternal life that fulfills every desire.

Jesus sacrificed His life for love. This love cost Him not only His life but the honor He was due as King of all. It seemed like it brought shame and scorn in the short-term, but it brought honor and glory in the long-term as all of the world would and will see Him lifted high as King of kings. The pure and holy One.

Jesus is motivated by love. He is not shaken by the appearance of His crucifixion. Love risks everything to claim it’s lover.

Jesus calls you His Beloved when you make Him your King.

Jesus shines glorious forever.

Jesus cannot be shamed.

Jesus does not absorb shame. Jesus does not carry shame. Jesus cannot feel shame. Shame cannot coexist with royalty.

“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

People may try to shame you for what they don’t understand, but God does not operate that way.

Jesus is never ashamed of His love for you and He never will be.

He is extravagant in His passionate love for you. Don’t allow anything into your life that would shame you for your love for Jesus.

You are royalty in God’s eyes, and this removes all shame from your life, past, present, and future.

Behold Jesus and stand before Him freely loved and radiantly glorious in the light of His love.

The author of Hebrews said he wants us to look to Jesus as our example. Looking to Jesus requires we set our eyes above the earth and gaze on Heaven where Jesus is. It requires we lift our gaze off of the distractions and onto the answer who is God. He is the “founder and perfecter” of our faith. Your faith was started by Jesus. Your faith is perfected by Jesus.

Only Jesus sustains us. Everyone in our lives benefits from our relationships with Jesus being healthy and whole. His love for you consumes you with love for everyone around you. If we find ourselves withholding love, then we must go to the One who is love and receive more of the healing fountains of His love. Salvation is the only way to receive this love and experience revival of the heart. Relationship with Jesus is the only way we come alive and stay alive.

Jesus “endured the cross” Hebrews 12:2 says, which means he endured the most brutal pain he could ever experience. Love makes you endure pain. Love makes you endure heart anguish. Love makes you persevere. Love makes you stronger than before because of the Lord in you.

If you want to grow, you must be motivated by love.

Love completes you.

“Faith, hope and love remain, but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13.

Notice in this passage that love is accompanied by faith and hope. Love stirs faith and hope to rise. Love lifts your heart to hope in Jesus with great faith.

Love keeps you moving forward.

Love makes you forgive and show mercy because you are not worried about shame. Shame cannot find you because you already decided you would endure the cross, and this is your mission. Exaltation comes from enduring the cross and scorning the shame, just as Jesus did.

Jesus triumphs because of His bravery.

Jesus’ love makes you unashamed. Unashamed to call Him yours. Unashamed to let Him love you. Unashamed to follow Him relentlessly. Unashamed to belong to Him endlessly. Jesus’ love is perfect love.
