Forget Mistakes

Flawless white snow drapes the mountains of the Lord Most High. Purity dwells in its glory. With Jesus as King, mistakes are forgotten. Sins are forgotten. Transgressions are forgotten. Only holiness remains.

“I, I Am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:25

Jesus forgives all your mistakes because He chose to sacrifice His own sinless life in our place. To give us purity and holiness before Him. You don’t have to earn this reinstatement of purity before God. He freely gives it to you. This is the beauty of salvation.

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.” Isaiah 1:18

Purity in exchange for our sin makes perfect sense to God. He is not expecting us to save ourselves and make ourselves holy. He is in charge of making us holy… by His love and sacrifice.

When God cleanses you of sin, it is not up to you to maintain this cleansing. The act of salvation itself is all from Jesus’ own doing. There is nothing you can do to save yourself. Good works cannot make us clean. Ethical living cannot save us from sin. Only Jesus Christ can save us from sin.

Jesus over everything.

Once Jesus saves you from your sin, you are free. Instantaneously. He forgets it and never holds it over your head ever again nor does He keep a record of wrongs.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12

See yourself the way God sees you. Holy. Forgiven. New.

You can live by the Spirit because of a cleansed mind that knows its identity as God’s redeemed.

God does not dwell in clouds of past sins. He dwells in perfection. Therefore, you dwell in perfection also because this is how your Heavenly Father sees you. Perfect, without blemish.

Why are you punishing yourself for mistakes God already forgot? Forget about it. Move forward.

Jesus likes to cover your sin and pursue you in relationship.

“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.” Romans 4:7

Jesus covers you, protects you and guards you.

“You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin.” Psalm 85:2

Spiritual growth comes from knowing you can stand before God in purity, regardless of your sins, because He did all the work to cover you.

Jesus does not give His people a choice when it comes to Him dying on the cross. He went to the cross willingly and nobody could dissuade Him. His love drove Him to the cross. Now He gives us the gift of salvation if we give our sins to Him, so that we no longer carry sin.

Jesus gives us the power to live free from sin.

“What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:1-4

He does not allow your sin to have control over you. In fact, He strips sin of its power and gives you life in the Holy Spirit to lead you.

Once your sins are forgiven and your heart cleanses from impurity you don’t need to dwell on your past sins anymore. Jesus loves to forget your sins and give you extravagant holiness and royalty from His own lineage.

Jesus does not remember your sins when He looks at you.

Live free today in His approval of you.
