Not Your Battle – Part 2

Part 2

Your battle belongs to God. His love drives Him to win for you. Let Him fight your battle.

In Exodus, God sent Moses to deliver Israel from Egyptian slavery. He did not send Moses into a battle he would lose. He sent him into a battle that would take time. God sends plague after plague before Pharaoh releases the Israelites. Then God leads them into another battle en route to the sea just to show everyone how powerful He is.

“And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭4‬ ‭

God is patient in warfare because He has higher level tactics in mind.

Patiently waiting on the Lord yields highest results. He knows what He is doing.

Once Pharaoh lets the people exit Egypt, God would need Israel to move towards the Red Sea, and put them in a tight spot, so He could work a miracle right in front of everyone.

“Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭21‬ ‭

The oceans rise for God’s people.

The Lord opens up the sea for the Israelites to walk on dry ground but the enemy gets stuck in the mud. The waters crash down on Pharaoh and they now see God is with Israel.

“Then the waters returned and covered all the chariots and charioteers—the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭28‬ ‭

God wins the battle for His people.

“When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians, they were filled with awe before him. They put their faith in the Lord and in his servant Moses.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭31‬ ‭
