The House of God

Incandescent pearls and luminescent diamonds. Royal blue sapphires and precious green emeralds. Rubies. Amethysts. Jasper. Jade. Finest luxury of Heaven’s oasis comprises the house He makes. Smell the

“How lovely are Your dwelling places, Lord of armies! My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.” Psalm 84:1-2

Loveliness cascades from God’s oasis where He dwells.

“And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.” Revelation 21:23

God’s light propels light into every part of your essence.

God’s house rejuvenates you. Healing qualities exude from every material fashioning His palace. Peaceful auras manifest from the presence surrounding His Heavens. Powerful strength rises from the essence of His throne where His Lordship reigns. Botanical gardens enliven the beauty of His atmosphere coated in butterflies and rose petals.

Stay in God’s house. Don’t leave the place of His protection and favor. Many other houses exist with offers of riches and allure, but only one dwelling-house provides eternal life for your soul: God’s House.

“For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10

Honor God’s house. His house hosts His Holy Spirit. His house hosts purity. His house hosts miracles. His house hosts kindness, love and grace. Anything opposed to His goodness cannot coexist. God’s house is a place of Heavenly bliss. Honor God’s house.

Evil and destruction are not allowed in God’s house. Discouragement and complaining are not allowed in God’s house. Inspiration and encouragement are required. Joy and gladness are your rewards. Beauty and love are eternally yours.

“He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” Matthew 21:13

God has something to give you when you enter His house. He is not a robber. He does not welcome you in to take from you but to give to you everything your heart searches for. Let God enrich your soul with the abundance of His house. His house lavishes you with every resource needed to sustain your life and boost your life with unimaginable blessings.

“Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Blessed is the person whose strength is in You, in whose heart are the roads to Zion!” Psalm 84:11

Your heart takes you straight to God’s throne, up in the clouds, in Zion, away from the world, in tune with the Spirit, connected to Him heart and soul. You are blessed when you dwell in God’s house. His fills your life with joy uncontainable.

Tap into the riches of His supernatural love. Feast on the goodness of His resources.

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

God’s riches are found in Jesus. Jesus hosts lavish abundance. He is the glorious one who is worthy of all honor and favor because He gave His perfect, sinless life and died for you and I. Thus, He possesses all riches in and of Himself. Therefore, everything we need has to come from the One who possesses all of the riches and that is Jesus. There is no blessing to be received without Jesus. Jesus is the blessed one who has power to give blessing.

“Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.” Psalm 87:7

Resources flow from Jesus alone.

Dwell in Jesus’ house and He gives you everything you need and then-some.

We never run out of soul provision when we make Jesus Christ King.

Jesus invites us to continue our lives forever and ever in Heaven with Him where He is building a city for us. God’s city is our dwelling place. The earth is only temporary.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” John 14:1-2

Jesus promises in John 14 that He will prepare a place for us to dwell with Him once He ascends to Heaven. After His resurrection, He appears to the disciples and then goes to Heaven until His second coming. During this time, Jesus said that He will be building this extravagant, beautiful place for us to get it ready. He makes his promise clear by saying “If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”. He only tells things that are true. He goes to Heaven because He has a plan in mind to get a space ready for us to come and dwell with Him.

Jesus takes time to prepare and plan for our arrival.

Jesus says His dwelling house has “many rooms,” enough for everyone who chooses Him as Savior. You have a place in God’s house as being a part of His family. This is God’s blueprint for humanity, to belong to Him and dwell with Him.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14:3

Jesus is coming again to take us to God’s house. He takes ownership of His role in making us His family. He pursues us and comes to us. This is the mark of our Savior, who takes it upon Himself to save before we ever ask. Jesus initiates. Jesus woos. Jesus makes us His.

“And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:4

Innately, you know how to get to Jesus. You and I were designed with a desire to connect with the divine. To know our Creator. To be known by God. When the Holy Spirit reveals this desire, give into the invitation to talk to God. Pray to Him. Welcome Him in. Jesus is the only way to be in God’s house. He unlocks the door.

When Jesus explains this to the disciples, Thomas questions what Jesus says…

“Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:4-6

Jesus reminds Thomas what He already knows. Later, Thomas is going to doubt Jesus again when He is raised from the dead. Choose who you want to be: The one who constantly doubts Jesus, or the one who listens to your instincts and listens the Spirit to trust Jesus. Doubting Jesus takes you away from truth and distorts reality. Trusting Jesus leads you to truth and clarifies reality.

Trust God and dwell in His house. There is no better place to be than with Him. His house is a place of refuge, safety, peace, enjoyment, delight, pleasure, and heavenly bliss. God desires you to join Him there. Eternal life ensures you get to dwell with Him forever.

“One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.” Psalm 27:4
