Volcanoes sing in the rain as the lightning plays the tambourine. Blood orange moons beat to the drums of Heaven’s cadence. Seahorses gallop to the rhythm of the symphony under the sea. Ocean waves dance the Argentine Tango with the wind.
God leans in to listen to carols of the bells. Classical harmonics. Rock-n-roll avionics. Reggaeton hypnotics. Synthesized electronics. Country western tectonics. Worship God with melodies of endless phrases of His majesty. His supremacy. His glory. His reign and worth.
God wants worship. He wants the sentiments of our hearts poured out in victorious confidence in His power. He loves your song.
“Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well!—Sing to it!—the well that the princes made, that the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter and with their staffs.” And from the wilderness they went on to Mattanah.” Numbers 21:17
Sing to the well. God will make it overflow for you.
“Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants.” Isaiah 42:10
God wants to hear the new songs in your heart and soul. Venture to the ends of the earth to praise His name and enjoy the serenity of His love. Worship delights God’s heart because He created musicality for the human species to express.
“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:3
Worship always works. Music always uplifts your spirits. Songs and melodies always satisfy God’s desire for more expression of love given to Him.
“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.” James 5:13
Cheerful joy makes you want to sing. Keep singing your heart out to God in every way.
“And Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.” Exodus 15:19-21
In Exodus 15, the Israelites sang to God because He gave them victory over the Egyptians who followed them when Pharoah finally let them go. They saw God’s saving power, and it made them sing as a natural response. Songs manifest from the heart’s passion. And God wants to hear every note from your spirit to His.
“That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!” Psalm 30:12
Your voice is a gift to the God who saved you. Your voice is a gift to you in uplifting your spirits because it releases joy-transmitting neurons. Worship literally raises your body’s feelings of happiness and satisfaction. God wants us to enjoy the gift of music just as much as He does. Heaven is filled with records.
“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their playmates, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’” Matthew 11:16-17
Jesus says… sing for Me. Dance for Me.
Songs spur your emotions and feelings to the surface to be released, so that joy and satisfaction can set in. In every state of emotion, sing. Your body will feel the effects of the rejuvenation.
“Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
tell of His salvation from day to day.” Psalm 96:1-2
The psalmist knew something. Singing every single day made him happy. You will feel it too. That’s why he said sing “from day to day.” Every day, sing happily and joyfully. Singing is a mark of celebration and jubilation.
“Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous works among all the peoples!”Psalm 96:3
