Sparkling lights glitter from the throne of God’s holy city. Harmonic glimmers of shimmering radiance illuminate the place where The King dwells. Cascading from the Heavens, He shines. Captivating souls from the earth, He reigns.

“Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” ¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.” Revelation 21:9-10

God compares Zion to a Bride. Clothed in radiant white, glistening with diamonds, deeply loved and romantically swooned, His city belongs to Him just like a Bride. God envisions His city to shine like a beacon of Heavenly perfection. Exquisite royalty. Impeccable virtue. Supreme beauty. Incomparable. Incorruptible.

“The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending low to you, and all who despised you shall bow down at your feet; they shall call you the City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 60:14

The church is the Bride of Christ that fills the illustrious holy city. The city of God. The people of God.

All will honor the Bride of Christ with bows and reverence, gleaming valiantly with the image of God. The people of God will be called the city of God where prosperity, freedom and holiness reigns.

“Beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King.” Psalm 48:2

Jesus’ followers look forward to the day of being in His holy city. Enthusiasm livens the anticipation.

“So that He might present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27

God wants Zion’s holy people to enter Heaven with liveliness. God’s purity imparted to His Bride illuminates her with the perfection that is required to stand before God. And God’s people will stand. Forever singing His praises.

“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2

God’s holy city is a gift from Heaven.

Gifts from Heaven are the best blessings.

There is no evil in God’s holy city.

“And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.” Revelation 22:19

The holy city shines with people who revere the prophecies of God and ascend to witness its fruition in Zion. The Bible is exalted by God’s people and embraced like sacred inscriptions for they are sacred inscriptions written by the Holy Spirit of God to His people on earth. God’s holy city depends on His people following Him as Lord and King.

“For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” 1 Peter 2:6

Eternal love and freedom belongs to the ones who hail Jesus as King.

Don’t let the anarchies of cities on earth blind you to the beauty of God’s holy city. If you allow Earth’s dysfunctions to blind your vision, you will miss out on Heaven’s blessings. Everything created by God is for your enjoyment and delight.

Violets whisp around the garden trees and courtyard beams made of onyx and marble. Pastel fusions of blood orange and passionfruit paint the skies. Flecks of gold shimmer in the turquoise waters carrying eternal amoebas of life and vitality. Angel wings soar upon the atoms of the atmosphere’s elements sustained by the Creator God Himself.

The holy city is waiting for you. Choose Jesus and live with Him forever in Heaven.

“But our citizenship is in Heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
