Garden Excavation

“Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age.” Matthew‬ ‭13:40‬

Jesus is coming again. Weeds will disintegrate when the New Heavens & Earth emerge… and the Tree of life unfurls in radiance.

As we wait for that day, we guard our hearts by Jesus’ spirit from evil influences. So that our garden may remain pure…. holy… flourishing.
I’m reminded of Song of Solomon chapter 2.

It says, “Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.”
‭‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭2:15‬

Protect the purity of what God creates for you… protect the integrity of what He gives you.

Satan seeks to destroy what is holy and perfect.

But if you can recognize those foxes & keep them out, your garden will blossom healthily. ✨

What are the little foxes?
Anything or any spirit that destroys goodness and purity.

In Matthew 13, Jesus teaches His disciples that evil sows bad seed among the good. It’s the problem of evil. The reality of a broken world with the infiltration of sin at the onset of creation. And God let it happen… because it’s doing something… it’s filtering hearts. IT’s giving every soul a chance to decide if they want evil or if they want the Lord. God cannot eradicate evil in the earth because everything in the earth right now is connected and affected by the Fall. He has to completely eradicate it altogether for it to cleanse the earth… so for right now evil is given reign while God is patient with all people so they might come to know Him as 2 Peter 3 says.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

God gives times for all people to have the choice to come to Him and discover everlasting life… love… wholeness… everythign they long for. God wants to give that. But He can’t give it without someone choosing to want it.

Jesus says in verse 30 of Matthew 13,  “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first & bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

What are the wheat and the weeds? Jesus goes on in this passage to explain what the wheat is and what the weeds are.

He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.” Matthew 13:-37-39

This is an exchatalogical reality… when Jesus returns He will extract the sons of the kingdom from the sons of the devil. The Bible is clear about this. It makes Heaven possible. There is no perfect Heaven without the obliteration of imperfection. There is no goodness without the wiping away of evil. And the world is clearly evil… decaying from the brokeness onset at the fall. This isn’t our Heaven… life with Jesus is our Heaven. And when He comes back, He is going to make war on Satan so that He can initiate His reign of endless purity forever. Where no darkness or sin exists.

Jesus is waiting to extract us from the evil world we reside until He does it all at one time.

The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:41-42

Then everything evil, demonic, Satanic, sinful will be thrown into the lake of fire which the Bible calls “the second death” in Revelation 20:14.

God envisions a perfect, holy satisfying dwelling place.

God did not create us to stay broken.

God created us to exist in perfection with Him in Heaven.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father…” Matthew 13:43a

I love that we will radiate like Jesus does… He didn’t have to make us glorious as He is… for He alone is deserving. But that’s who He is. He is selfless and generous, constantly giving to His creation so that it may reflect His glory. He loves to love us. He loves to adorn us with His glory and it makes Him happy to do so… I can see Him looking at us as we reflect who He is… we’re apart of Him and He in us… and we’re one with Him… forever. He wants us… longs for us… and desires that we choose Him in love just as He chose us in love.

“…He who has ears, let him hear.” Matthew 13:43b

in the sound

of Your voice

all of Heaven rejoices

in the Heavens

never in need

for He is everything

He is everything

Jesus wants us to hear that He has everything we need.

Jesus constantly offers His promises of eternal life to all who would hear it… who would receive it… want it. But Jesus requires to give our whole life to Him… so He can cast away the old man and breathe life into the new man.

If we want Jesus as King, we give our whole life to belong to Him. And in belonging to Him, we discover who we were made to be… amplified to live liberated and free.

Living for Jesus will attract persecution and it will attract opposition in the spirit from evil. But we must remember that our God is greater. He is in control of all things and the dominion of darkness, Satan and sin will not rule forever. Jesus is the Ruler of all.

God is sovereign over the earth and He has a battle plan in mind for the sin that exists. He is not shocked by the reality sin exists… He knows it does. He knows exactly when He’s coming back to avenge His people. Focus on Him… and let Your heart be tethered to Him in Heaven by His Holy Spirit, so that the devil will flee from you.

Love Jesus… Seek to know and walk in His words, and your garden will grow.

Give your time to nurturing what blooms… and let God eradicate the weeds.

Song of Solomon 2:16 says her Beloved “grazes among the lilies.” I love this. He stays away from weeds. He rids out the foxes. It’s because of this… their love flourishes in healthiness.

Lilies of the valley represent purity from the Lord. They purify.

They are the beauty of Jesus & reflect Him. Lilies are good company. Good nourishment. Flowing from Him.

Don’t graze among weeds.
Graze among lilies.
Where Jesus shines forth & reminds you of Him. ♥️
Flourish in His garden.

As you seek more of the Lord, He will cleanse your heart of anything that does not reflect the image of Him. And that’s a good thing. You don’t want sin and dysfunciton in your life.

You were created to live pure and free, awakened to joy that transcends this temporal space. Life is most fulfilling when you let Jesus cut away the parts of you not needed to dwell in Heaven. Only what’s pure and good is needed. Don’t shun the discipline of the Lord. It only makes you better.

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

Discipline from the Lord matures you in every way, ridding out toxins and elevating you to spiritual living with the King of kings.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

One day Jesus will come back and no more toxins will be present. Only unceasing nourishment from the Tree of Life… the holy Jerusalem… the Lamb of God. Jesus Christ. He is our love overflowing… and the One we live for.

Jesus will excavate His garden of Beloveds when He comes back forever… uprooting every evil in the world that was given a short life. And we will live infinitely in immortality with the King of the holy garden… the New Heaven and Earth. ❤️️
