your heart couldn’t sustain it

your world couldn’t contain it

lights a
fire
to what shouldn’t be burned
and what shouldn’t be turned
into a warzone
for your
mind

why did you close the book
on our love affair

your focus couldn’t maintain it
I couldn’t let you desire me anymore
your hopes couldn’t restrain it
from manifesting in the invisible
trying to land in the tangible
world
beneath us
it was beneath us
and God is calling us
to seek love
found in higher places
in Him
Heaven

open the door to
God’s love affair

it’s better this way
your life in all
it’s beauty engraved
in front of you
is the gift He gave
to satisfy you
to beauty you
to rejuvenate you
with the morning dew
of His blessings anew

He loves you
just like you desire Him to

He will be there for you
through and through
to meet you
just like you need Him to

you have a place in my heart
but ours must be tethered apart
let His dreams for you
light up the stars
and His love for you
carry your heart
to what’s
real

real blessings
He longs to impart
to His kings
and His queens

let Him be your
God
like He was at the start
