in the starlight
invigorated gleaming
in the twilight
it’s where they sing
and burst into being
when everything
awakens to dream

butterflies venture
in the daylight
strawberries blush
under the sunlight
it’s how they bloom
and swoon the moon
when beauty exudes
their gardens renew

glisten
like you once did

at the fireflies
lighting
up the forest
like a nightlight
