The Lord cries too… when He’s in love.

Weeping willows surround the garden where the Lord cries and weeps for her. He breaks for her. Melts for her. Every part of his omniscience grieves for her because He knows what He is capable of. He could have absolved her pain. He could have stepped in sooner. Why didn’t He? She will know… once she witnesses the miracle He’s about to prove.

“Jesus wept.” John 11:35

Jesus weeps when He’s in love.

Jesus’ heart breaks when His ways conflict with our expectations. But He also won’t settle for giving us less than what He envisions for us. Jesus bypassed healing Lazarus’ sickness in John 11, so He could do a greater miracle of raising Him from the dead. Mary got to see what Jesus was really capable of once He did. Then, the whole town was given hope that God was with them because they saw the Messiah’s miracle.

God has a beautiful ending to your story. And a new beginning too… paved with a sapphire road of endless love to take you where you’ve never gone before.

Let God take you where you’ve never been before.

Mary had never wept over a man before. She had also never camped out in front of a tomb before. But she did this time when Jesus was taken from her.

“Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb.” John 20:11

She remembered Jesus’ miracle. She knew dead things come back to life. Jesus could come back to life too. So she waited.

When Jesus captivates your heart, you will go further than you ever have. Do what you’ve never done. Say what you’ve never said. Love like you’ve never loved. Because His love grabs your heart so radically, you want to love Him extravagantly.

Mary went where she had never gone… and witnessed her miracle.

“She saw 2 angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain.” John 20:12

Never underestimate God’s power. Never underestimate your spiritual discernment. God reveals hidden insight to those who follow Him and hear from His heart. Listen to your spirit lead you and God will take you further into the audacity of His love.
