Worth Saving

Worth Saving2

Before you were ever born, Jesus saw you. Jesus claimed you. Before you ever opened your eyes, Jesus knew you. Jesus wanted you. He came for you. He chose you. He loves you. You are worth more than life to Him.

“Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.” Ephesians 1:4

Jesus is a King who lays down His life to save you. He leads by example.

“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬

Your sins are cleansed because of Jesus’ sacrifice. This is a sacrifice that cost Him everything. It was not an easy transaction nor a light task. It was a heavy undertaking that meant He would not only have to die a painful, torturous death, but that He would have to endure the full wrath of God so that you would be ensured access to Him in closest relationship possible. His death and resurrection is the only reason we can have eternal life free from sin. This is a gift surpassing any other kind of gift we could receive.

God’s love is priceless.

Yet, God’s love caused God a lot of heartache and still He experiences this when His people turn from Him or deny Him. We see this in the book of Hosea when God asks Hosea to pursue a prostitute named Gomer in order to reveal how God pursues Israel even though they forsake Him and turned to other gods. God has a heart too. And His spirit grieves when His own people rebel.

The book of Hosea gives a heart wrenching account of God’s own love and turmoil over Israel. Yet His love remains unmoved.

By the end of the book, God declares with authority and commitment…

“I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for My anger will have turned from him.” Hosea 14:4

God heals Israel so that He can be in relationship with them. It’s the only way forward. Mercy. Forgiveness. Love.

God says you are worth saving.

God forgives sin because He is a loving, faithful God who keeps His promises. He said He would send Jesus to die for our sins and He did. Revelation 13:8 says that Jesus Christ is the
“Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.” God knew what would need to occur before He ever made us, if He wanted to be in relationship with us. Still, He chose to go forward. The cost is worth it to Him. You are worth it to Him.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Your sin is not too much for God… take it to Him and He will forgive and restore you by the blood of Jesus already given for you. It’s done. All you have to do is believe it and receive it. Let Jesus be Your Lord and King.

Sin has no power over the one covered in Jesus’ blood and love.

Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.” Romans 6:5-7

Your sin melts in the fire of His love where your heart shreds impurities like gold refined by fire. God restores you with deep roots anchored in Him to grow fruitfully. Your life becomes a conduit of fruit bearing and pruning where you enjoy to grow and become more like Christ everyday. He fills you and refreshes you.

God says He will rejuvenate you when you feel depleted…

“I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like the lily and take root like the cedars of Lebanon.” Hosea‬ ‭14‬:‭5‭

The Lord is your dew. Your liquid sustenance. Your anointing oil. He establishes you.

God’s glory desires to see His people growing bountifully and beautifully. But He must save us first from a sin nature into a new nature: claimed by Jesus Christ.

In Christ, you are new and awakened to ascend the heights of Heaven like floral ivy in a cosmic sky.

“His new branches will spread, and his splendor will be like the olive tree, his fragrance, like the forest of Lebanon. The people will return and live beneath his shade. They will grow grain and blossom like the vine. His renown will be like the wine of Lebanon.” Hosea 14:6-7

You are worth saving in His eyes.

Jesus is a warrior who fights on the front lines for His Beloved.

Now you possess eternal rights to His Heavenly Kingdom as His treasured possession.

God says… “It is I who answer and watch over him. I Am like a flourishing pine tree; your fruit comes from Me.” Hosea‬ ‭14‬:‭8‬

God watches over you. Everything you need flows from His hands of power.
