God Moves

God’s spirit moves with every miracle of life. His heart moves with every kiss of love from daylight’s sun. His hands move with every rotation of the earth held by His design. God moves to keep the world in motion. God moves to touch every heart with His devotion of love and salvation. God moves to love us. God moves to reach us. God created us to move.

“So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:21

Move with the Spirit of God fluttering in your midst. Move with the God of Heaven rushing through the wind. Move with the palms of trees indwelling atmosphere. Move with the heart of God embracing stratosphere.

A move of God ignited the earth. A move of God burst life into being. Moves of God sustain the earth. Moves of God enflame the earth with heat from the sun and songs from the hums of hummingbirds dancing all around.

God makes moves. God sparks moves. God shows moves of His glory in the blueprint of every element of creation. His Spirit persists with the continuation of His power all around us. God moves in you.

We dance, we breathe, we live, we speak because of His breath inside of us. God is always moving.

From the beginning of creation and for all eternity, God will be moving. Genesis 1 showcases this glorious movement of our God.

“Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.” Genesis 1:2

The Spirit of God moves constantly with life and power.

Do you want a move of God in your life?

God wants to move towards you.

“Come near to God and He will come near to you.” James 4:8

God craves your nearness just as much as you crave His. Come near to God… quiet your soul and talk to Him. Spend time thinking about Him and inviting Him into your space where the Holy Spirit can speak to you. Your heart receives the power of the Holy Spirit when you welcome Him into your life.

Jesus said… “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit anoints your hands and feet with power. The Holy Spirit anoints you to speak for Jesus, witnessing His good news and telling others about His salvation. You need the power of the Holy Spirit to take the message of Jesus to “the ends of the earth, because God moves with Holy Spirit

Jump on board with Him. Make Jesus the King of your heart. The evidence of His ventures manifest in your life as He moves through you. The apostle Paul experienced the many moves of God in His journies sharing about Jesus because Jesus needed Him to cover as much ground as possible.

God wants to cover more ground through you.

God wants to reach more people with His love in you.

God wants to save more hearts by His love in you.

Paul enjoyed His calling from God to reach the world with gospel. He said in his letter to the Philippians…

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14

To Paul, the “upward call” of God on his life was the highest prize and the greatest aim of his existence. It’s what he lived for.

What you live for affects your mindset.

Live for Jesus and His call on your life and this purpose will lift you up over everything.

“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

You soar high because of seeking the Lord.

You find new strength because of seeking the Lord.

You gain eagle wings from seeking the Lord.

You run with everlasting endurance because of seeking the Lord.

You walk with power because of seeking the Lord.

Seek Jesus with all your heart.

“A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1

David arrived at the epiphane of God being enough for him as a result of being in the wilderness, where he could do nothing else but move towards God. His spirit moved towards God. His thoughts moved towards God. His heart moved towards God. He gained a love and desire for God that sustained him for his whole life. We need to move our whole beings towards God for us to be satisfied on the inside.
