Godly Femininity & Masculinity Part 5

Part 5

A woman’s femininity blossoms in the presence of a King.

Jesus is your highest king. Womanhood comes from being tethered to Jesus in love. He empowers you with gifts of the Spirit.

In 1 Samuel 25, David notices a godly woman whom he decides to make his wife after Nabal passes.

“Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. The woman was discerning and beautiful, but the man was harsh and badly behaved; he was a Calebite.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭25‬:‭3‬ ‭

God removes Nabal from Abigail’s life because he is a hindrance and dishonors the King. Abigail needs a man who sees her for her discernment and empowers her to use it.

“David said to Abigail, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me! Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from working salvation with my own hand!”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭25‬:‭32‬-‭33‬ ‭

Nabal needed Abigail to survive but Abigail did not need Nabal. Abigail needed a King.

God places godly women with Kings.

“The King desires your beauty. Honor Him for He is your Lord.” Psalm 45:11

Jesus desires your beauty… your beautiful insight, discernment, wisdom, advice, and discretion. He made you to shine.

Godly manhood thrives in the presence of a godly woman.

Godly manhood arises from a heart of peace not war.

God wants men to be affirmed for their grace and mercy. Handsomeness comes from godliness.

“You are the most handsome of the sons of men; grace is poured upon your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever.”  Psalm‬ ‭45‬:‭2
