Part 3

Jesus knows where to be. He knows how to find you. He knows how to draw you to Himself.

In Luke 2, Jesus stays behind in Jerusalem while His parents travel home. When they realize He is gone, they search for Him for 3 days. Then they find Him conversing at the temple.

“And He said to them, “Why were you looking for Me? Did you not know that I must be in My Father’s house?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭49‬ ‭

Jesus, as a twelve year old, is already revealing His divinity. He is demonstrating intellect. He’s going toe to toe with the religious elite of His day in the temple.

“After three days they found Him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard His were amazed at His understanding and His answers.” Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭46‬-‭47‬ ‭

Jesus has answers. Your questions are always answered by Him. He always has time for you. He stays and lingers, just so He can talk to you.

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭52‬ ‭

Jesus was prophesied about as the one who would redeem Israel. Simeon noticed Jesus as the Messiah the moment he found Jesus in the temple as a baby, years prior. So Simeon blessed Jesus.

“Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel.” ✨ Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭34‬
