they can’t define

live for Him
and you will see
your strength
comes from
a higher King

engender God’s heart

they will

to be ruthless
heartless and senseless
but you will see through this
and choose to refuse this
corrupt way of life
take the way of the light

Jesus is the light
 
they will
tell you
to use her
abuse her
and taunt her
but you will see through that
reject that and flee that
for He didn’t raise you
like that
my son is
stronger than that
better than that
braver than that

Jesus is love

God’s sons personify love
 
love well
forgive quickly
work hard
and give freely
when the weight
of the world
is pressing down on you
and it will press down on you
when you expect it
and when you least expect it

failures won’t break you
they will make you
who you are
listen to Jesus
near and far
and let Him
lead you
from His heart
speaking to yours

you don’t want to miss it
the moments each day
you were made
to exchange
with your God
and Savior

Jesus is your lifeline
 
the world hasn’t met you yet
but God has
and when He breathes
your heart to life
you only have one chance
to live it well
so live it well
live it for The King
