Royalty treasured. Royalty given. Royalty honored. Royalty bestowed. God bestows it. Royalty denotes the extravagant worth of one’s soul, so much that Jesus Himself would break through the space between Heaven and earth to be God with us. Immanuel. A Royal King. A Royal Creator of His holy and chosen people.
You are treasured in God’s eyes. Royal in God’s eyes. Cherished in God’s eyes. He saw you and loved you the first moment. He knew you would be His forever, because His heart palpitated with love captivated at the inception of your existence.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
The Greek word for “royal” in this passage is “basileios.” It means regal or royal. God’s light brings you into His Kingdom where His own kingly royalty is given to you. He loves to lavish you with honor. His people are to be royal and beautiful just like Him. When you step into God’s Kingdom, it is Royalty Only. Every being inside of Heaven is lavished with royalty.
Lavish Jesus with highest royalty.
Jesus sings your praises all the time because He loves you.
His chose you for a reason. His takes great pleasure in His royal beloved. His love for you lights up your eyes when you see Him.
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
Sing to us, Jesus. Your love is Heaven. Open your mouth, Jesus. Your voice is bliss. The highest kind of bliss I could ever find. Jesus’ love unfurls with wonder, alive and pure.
How does the royal King love you? With fire in His eyes He loves you. With diamonds in His heart He loves you. With the earth in His hands He loves you. He can do all things at the same time. His love for you is grandiose love. Lavish love. Generous love. Excessive love that always loves above and beyond what loves would normally give. God’s love shatters the box of our expectations and lifts us into the Heaven’s of infinite emancipation from the world.
Love walks the agonizing road that marked the pathway to its beloved. And it reaches its beloved. Claims its beloved. Keeps its beloved forever.
Royal love lives forever.
“You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” Isaiah 62:3
Royal love. Royal heirs. Royal gold. Royal home with Jesus forever. He makes us His treasure. And He treasures us too. God does not just give you royalty and then neglect to show you how to use it. He asks you to use it. He needs you to use your royal identity to lead with life-changing love in the world. He wants you to use your royal identity to affect the way you see yourself as you step into the world to come. God asks us to reign with Him one day.
“Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him.” 2 Timothy 2:11-12
Royal people of the King reign with Him. We are lavished with royal honor from Jesus.
“Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.” 1 Peter 2:17
Honor marks the Kingdom of God’s people.
Royal people of The King honor one another. This is a perfect reality, also, in Heaven.
God wants a royal people because He is royal. He wants us to share His lineage and heritage, to be like Him and to be of the same spirit as Him so that there is oneness in the Heavens. His royalty makes a way for you to be royal also.
“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” Isaiah 57:15
God revives your lowly spirit to a royal spirit.
Start seeing yourself as royal.
When Jesus saved you, you became royal because became one with Jesus, The King of all creation. I would be impossible to become one with Jesus and not share His characteristics in your own person. To be one with another is to be one in everything you are.
“So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” Romans 12:5
We are one in Christ, with Christ and with each other.
Jesus makes us one.
Worthy is the one Jesus chooses to love Him forever.
live forever
love forever
choose Him whether
the rain falls
unfettered
or stars rise
untethered
to the moon
His love will swoon
the earth to prove
the Son still shines
I love Him
on heights
and in stormy nights
for my God brings the light
into my skies
into my cries
the highest prize
is Him alone
My King is Jesus
He reigns alone
