He made the dress. Satin ribbons and chiffon are Heaven’s invention. Silk threads and gemstones derive from God’s creation breathed from His Spirit in six days.

God knows what He is doing when He crafts a work of art. He knows how to lace the earth with resources we need to flourish and create. God knows how to fashion the seas in wonder and dress the sky with stars of elegance.

God has an eye for beauty. Shapes and curves accentuate the river of life meandering around the holy city of Jerusalem. Liquid diamonds coat the waters like sparkling lights. Healing leaves touch the riverbank like accents embroidered in gold. The waters flow freely over the waterfalls of Zion’s splendor. The Bride will be ready for her King.

“Let us be glad and rejoice,
    and let us give honor to Him.
For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,
    and His bride has prepared herself.
She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.
    For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.” Revelation 19:7-8

See the groom watching His Bride with love’s delight. She shines beautifully. More beautiful than a billion cosmic stars in galaxies far away. Jesus spanned the distance to reach her from far away because His love could not keep Him away.

“Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He has brought me to the house of wine, and his banner over me is love.” Song of Solomon 2:3-4

His house is the house of love’s intoxicating essence. Purest love. Passionate love. Love that never lost the fiery flames for His love. See her eyes glow as she beholds the King who won her. See His heart beat as He beholds the Bride who captivates Him.

She’s beautiful, isn’t she? She wears the dress of God’s own design, with a train spanning the hallways of Heaven where her veil will be on display after the royal wedding of Jesus’ Wedding Supper of the Lamb.

“And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And He said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19:9

You want to be invited to this wedding. Because it’s the wedding of God Himself. In the Home of God. In the Heavens made by God. With the angels glorifying God. This is the moment God has been waiting for in all of eternity… to marry you, Beloved.

Jesus cannot wait to marry you. So, He makes anaudaciously gorgeous ball gown just for you. He makes a royal robe just for you. He fashions you with beauty and gems made by His own extravagance, just like the Heavens are decked out in diamonds, pearls, rubies, sapphires, and more.

God’s budget is endless.

God is not worried about how much this wedding will cost. He will pay anything to have you. He will pay anything to celebrate in the most lavish and decadent of ways.

“The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” Revelation 21:18-21

God’s materials are richly substantial in both the substance and value. Heaven glows with beauty. You glow with beauty.

Say yes to Jesus.

Say yes to the Maker of Heaven.

Say yes to the Maker of earth.

Say yes to the Maker of the stars.

Say yes to the Maker of the dress. The most extravagant dress in the universe’s existence. The dress of the Bride of Christ. Jesus is the Maker of all. He is the lover of your soul.
