Part 5

Jesus’ way of life necessitates a new operating system in your life. A new way of thinking. A new way of living. The way of the Kingdom of God.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭

When Jesus preached, He told the people “You have heard… but I say…”.

We want what Jesus has to say. 

Jesus has something to say to us today. Everything He says brings truth and love to your heart. His words are healing, life-giving, enriching, and vital for our existence.

Jesus’ words are the standard.

“You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭

Mercy and peace are the standards of the Kingdom of God.

“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭43‬-‭44‬ ‭

Jesus’ way commands love in every circumstance.

“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭

We need God’s operating system in our minds and hearts to align with the purity of Heaven.
