Jesus Interference

The love of God rains over all the earth, pouring into hearts afresh. Open your heart and let Him fill the space that sin and darkness dwelt. Only He can satisfy the void.

Jesus is the answer. Jesus is the life source we need. Salvation comes from no other name but His. He is the redeemer who rushes into save you before you know you need saving.

Diving into the waters, He finds you. Soaring over the wastelands, He finds you. Jesus goes where nobody else goes, to free souls waiting on liberation.

In Matthew 8, Jesus travels to a place where demons dwell.

“And when He came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met Him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” Matthew 8:2829

No one else dared to pass through there.

But Jesus did.

Jesus enters the places where it says “Danger Zone.” He is not threatened by the “Beware” signs nor is He afraid to go where nobody else will pass through. He is God and His authority reigns over every spirit.

Jesus carries a purpose everywhere He goes. His presence alone will compel the demons to beg Jesus to cast them out of the men and into something else because demons must bow to Jesus Christ.

The demons knew Jesus was the Son of God.

“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” James 2:19

However, demonic spirits do not want Jesus to be King. They come from Satan and host powers of evil and bondage, tormenting the host because its spirit is opposed to life and freedom. Demonic spirits oppress with death and agony.

“And the demons begged Him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs.” And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters.” Matthew 8:31-32

Jesus has power over demons, and so He can walk into their territory and cast them out. He will not be succumbed to the influence of their evil. Jesus’ love for His people will not be tainted. His love remains pure forever.

Jesus casts out the demons into a herd of pigs, but the townspeople are enraged at the loss of financial equity they had in the herd. They are afraid that with Jesus around they will lose more money if He liberates more people.

“And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters. The herdsmen fled, and going into the city they told everything, especially what had happened to the demon-possessed men. And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.” Matthew 8:32-34

Healing people is more important than money.

Jesus leaves places where His healing is not wanted.

Jesus disregards places that don’t want His message.

Jesus instructs His disciples to leave places where His words are rejected.

Jesus says in Matthew 10:12-14, “As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.”

Demonic spirits won’t listen to Jesus.

Holy spirits do.

You host the Holy Spirit of God when you give your life to Jesus Christ.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

Freedom marks a child of God.

Love marks a child of God.

Hope marks a child of God.

Trust marks a child of God.

“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—He will testify about me.” John 15:26

The Holy Spirit speaks everything Jesus says and communicates. The Holy Spirit testifies to the heart of Jesus. The Holy Spirit teaches us about Jesus. Seek Jesus with all your heart and demons have no room. We submit our hearts to Jesus to let Him take up residence in our souls. He is your lover and your God. He is enough.
