Ascend To Heaven

When God wants to accomplish a mission, He knows how to get it done. Creation burst into life in six days. Eternal life conquered death in three days. One day, Jesus is coming back for us and it will not take long for Him to appear. In a flash of lightning, He will arrive.

“For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.” Matthew 24:27

Every second, God is doing something in the earth. Every moment, God is healing, reviving, restoring, and enacting justice. God moves at lightning speed. Warp speed. Supernatural speed. Because He can go as fast as He wants to. He is The King and He can do anything.

When Jesus was ready to go back to Heaven after dying for the sins of man, He ascended in a flash. The disciples saw it happen, as Jesus had just instructed them to take the gospel to the end of the earth in Acts 1:8. Then, He leaves and He does not need to say goodbye because He knew He would be coming again soon.

“After saying this, He was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see Him.” Acts 1:9

Jesus does not take long to ascend Heaven.

He gets there immediately.

In fact, Hebrews 1:3 says, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Instantaneously, Jesus was there.

Jesus can do anything and go anywhere.

Jesus rules the universe.

He can descend from Heaven to earth and ascend from earth to Heaven. The elements do not deter Him from flight nor do they impede Him from navigating the universe. He rules the universe by the perfect goodness of His hands. His love compels Him to act with urgency for us, the ones He loves.

“And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather His chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.” Matthew 24:30-31

When Jesus comes back for us, He will take us to be with Him immediately.

“Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18

Take comfort in knowing Jesus chooses you and is coming back for you.

When He comes back, there is no fear because His love seeks to bring us into Heaven.

There will be mourning on the earth for those who do not make Jesus King, but there is great joy and relief for those who have made Jesus their King and see Jesus coming back for them. Finally, goodness will reign without any interference from the devil.

Jesus cannot wait to take us to Heaven with Him!

“And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” And He also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be My children.” Revelation 21:5-7

When John saw this vision, He saw the end as if it had already happened. He heard the end. He heard Jesus say,” It is finished!” This is because God knows the end and the beginning. God knows how everything will play out and He is not limited by time. He is outside of time. He is in charge of the whole universe and its unfolding. Eternity is in His hands.

Jesus chose to go back to Heaven after the resurrection because He could not remain on the earth and be killed yet again. He intends to be King of all, and in order to do that He must eradicate the earth and the demons, and make a new earth where only goodness dwells. God will be King of all. Not just some. He accomplished His mission and then He left the earth and sent His Holy Spirit, so that we can stay connected to Him through His Holy Spirit.

Jesus told us in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit would remind us of all the things that Jesus said.

Jesus accomplishes His mission on the spot of its inception. He does not wait to figure out what is next. He knows what is next. He knows how to accomplish everything.

This is good news because we can trust our lives to the God who knows all things.

God is not delaying His return, but He is patiently waiting on all people to come to know Him as Lord and Savior so that more people can be saved. God will come back exactly when He wants to. He alone decides when the time is right. His time is always on time.

“For the Lord will carry out His sentence upon the earth quickly and with finality.” Romans 9:28

God does not harm the ones He already took up to Heaven with Him. It’s the earth that experiences the judgment of rejecting Jesus. God wants you to let him be your King and then you become one of His people, grafted into the heritage of His identity.

Jesus is coming soon! Jesus makes you holy, pure and loved. He loves you… let Him be your God. We wait for Him to arrive and take us into Heaven forever. ♥️

“He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭20‬-‭21
