Beautiful Jesus

Jesus is worthy of all glory. His Name is holy. His authority is supreme. His place is King. His power is infinite. Jesus reigns at the right hand of God on high and is coming back in zealous fury to rule and reign.

“Then I saw Heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for He judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on His head were many crowns. A name was written on Him that no one understood except Himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and His title was the Word of God.” Revelation 19:11-13

Jesus is the Word of God who came to dwell with us. Jesus is God. His Holy Spirit moves from within Him to surround us here on the earth everywhere.

Behold His beauty. Behold His radiance. Behold His luminosity.

Jesus moves towards the ones He loves. His beauty adorns Him from the heart beating inside of Him. Jesus’ heart enchants His beloved. His heart captivates His Beloved. His heart allures His Beloved to come closer every moment.

Jesus wants to reside in the center of your heart. Where He belongs.

“For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory.” Colossians 1:27

Jesus says… I am always with you.

Know God’s secret: Christ in you.

God created His people to host Him by the Holy Spirit’s power.

“Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

Jesus’ throne knows no end.

“But to the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.” Hebrews 1:8

In Revelation, Jesus prepares to assail the enemies of Heaven to fight for the people He loves. He will eradicate Satan and all evil. He will make war on the earth by the beauty of the Word of His essence.

“The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed Him on white horses. From His mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On His robe at His thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.” Revelation 19:14-16

Notice His title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords. There is none higher than Jesus. Jesus reigns over all creatures in Heaven and earth.

Jesus’ beauty as King is seen in His power to save. His power to rescue. His power to defend. His power to protect. His power to heal. His power to love.

“While we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.” Titus 2:13

The second coming of Jesus has and always will be anticipated until the moment He returns. Until He does, remember the power of His own Spirit residing in you. Jesus is with us by His Holy Spirit.

Jesus came to minister alongside real people He lived in the earth. He took care of His people like a loving father who nurtures His young. He taught and led the people with compassion as a shepherd who tends the flock. Jesus is a protector and a warrior. He does not let anyone harm His people.

Jesus’ beauty was noticed by the people who sought after Him day and night. It was the beauty of His love and grace. His tenderness and mercy. His genuine care. Beauty is defined by so much more than appearance. Jesus encapsulates the wholeness of beauty because every aspect of His heart and character is exactly that: beautiful.

Rainbow hues paint the sky overlooking the dew of the ivy leaves. God made it that way. Beauty is His skill set. He knows how to make things beautiful. Creation, nature, animals, people… God loves to make beauty.

Beauty is who God is. Perfect beauty will always be His enduring substance.

John saw Jesus in His resurrected, glorious form when stranded on the isle of Patmos. Then he wrote down what God showed him in the book of Revelation. This prophetic book gives us essential information about what is to come. It tells us what John saw when He looked upon Jesus’ beauty, which was greater and more luminous than any form of Jesus He had seen before.

“When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if I were dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I Am the First and the Last. I Am the living one. I died, but look—I Am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.” Revelation 1:17-18

Jesus was so beautiful and shiny that John falls to the ground. Immediately. He cannot help is. Jesus’ appearance provokes an immediate response. Jesus’ spirit leaves John rattling. John feels as if he died and he has never died before. But he knows something other-than-life has taken place when he gets in Jesus’ presence. Seeing Jesus is a supernatural experience. Jesus’ beautiful essence changes you forever.

Jesus tells John that He holds they keys. Jesus is in charge. Nothing reigns over Him. He stands high above it all, and yet He wants to reach down to come closer to us wherever we are. This is the beautiful passion of our Savior.

We need not be afraid of anything when we have Jesus ruling over everything.

Beautiful Jesus lives to intercede for us.

Beautiful Jesus lives to fight for us.

Beautiful Jesus lives to love us.
