The garden of Eden. Pure extravagance. Untainted innocence. Flawless elegance of orchids blossoming under the sunlight and cedars stretching towards the sky. Creation coexisted with its Creator. God interacted with His people, man and woman, made in His image. Perfection ensured the unshattered union of their relationship. Only a perfect man or woman could be in the presence of a holy God.

“Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.” Genesis 1:31

But soon, the union of God and man would be destroyed. Sin would entice Adam and Eve to give in to temptation. All of humankind would be marked with a propensity to give in to what separates us from our Creator: sin.

God looked upon His people from the Heavens whom He loved. He longed to be with them. He desired to restore them. He planned to send a solution to the problem. The only solution to be found would be a sinless, immortal sacrifice to restore the perfect, sinless immortality of mankind.

Who could fulfill such a role? Only Jesus, the Son of God, the Word made flesh, the Lion and the Lamb, could be found to win such a war.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus makes you righteous.

Jesus makes you perfect.

Jesus makes you holy.

Jesus makes you sinless.

“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:48

We are perfect because Jesus makes us perfect.

Heaven waits for you to join your Bridegroom in the bliss of its pure environment. Every aspect of Heaven expresses cheerfulness and enthusiasm, never frustration and loss.

Heaven is higher than earth’s frequency.

In Heaven, the aura of serenity engulfs you at every turn. Ecstatic fascination surprises you in every dimension. Angelic voices elevate you to the supernatural wavelengths of Zion.

In the New Heaven God is creating for us, His reign establishes a perfect environment. There are no disasters to permeate the atmosphere. There are no catastrophes to shake the equilibrium. There are no devils to contaminate the purity. New Heaven and Earth is perfect.

“Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” Leviticus 19:2

Holiness was God’s command from the beginning. This is why we need a Savior to make us holy before God. We cannot make ourselves holy on our own, but Jesus can.

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans 5:6

Jesus’ death and resurrection makes Heaven’s purity possible. Heaven will never again be tainted by Satan because Jesus defeated Satan on the cross. The cross is your victory if you make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. He is God. There is no other.

“From His abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” John 1:16

Jesus’ countless resources of abundance never stop flowing to us. He always provides for us again and again. Blessings keep pouring. Salvation leads to blessing after blessing. Hope after hope. Joy after joy. Bliss after bliss.

Host Heaven in your heart and keep your soul set on the joy reigning from Christ in you.

“Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.” Revelation 22:1-2

River rapids swirl delicately through the garden of God’s design, just as it was in the beginning.

“A river flowed from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into four branches. The first branch, called the Pishon, flowed around the entire land of Havilah, where gold is found. The gold of that land is exceptionally pure; aromatic resin and onyx stone are also found there. The second branch, called the Gihon, flowed around the entire land of Cush. The third branch, called the Tigris, flowed east of the land of Asshur. The fourth branch is called the Euphrates.” Genesis 2:10-14

Only this time, the river of life in New Heaven will be loaded with life giving substance that can never be taken away for it knows that death will never again permeate God’s people. Instead, healing will come. The rivers will produce fruits that revive the people with eternal vibrancy.

Curses are not found in New Heaven and Earth.

Only paradise is found.

“No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and His servants will worship him. And they will see His face, and His name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever. Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires His prophets, has sent His angel to tell His servants what will happen soon.” Revelation 22:3-6

Heaven is pure

forever pure

endlessly pure

brilliantly pure

with beauty

adorning

like ivory snow

with a sapphire glow

with wonder

cascading

like sparkles of stars

in symphonic harp

Heaven’s art

dawns upon us

like raindrops won

from battedrums

played over and over

for You

we live in tune

with Zion’s proof

that peaceful rest

gives life over death

eternity kept

perfection

glorified in Zion

Jesus, You are the King of Zion
