Lose To Gain

Ethereal energy surges from the God of Heaven. Euphoric serenity propels from the peace of Jesus. Ecstatic blessedness arises from angelic luminosity. Jesus designed us to experience the supernatural paradox of His Kingdom: giving everything for Jesus leads to surplus. Surrendering our wills to Him grants blessings. Losing our lives for Him entrusts us with rewards.

“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me and the gospel will save it.” Mark 8:35

Save your life by letting go of self-preservation. Self-preservation cannot give you the life you seek. Only self abandonment for the sake of Jesus’ Lordship can elevate your soul to higher living.

You have a choice. Devote your life to Jesus or devote your life to you. Only one can be God.

Jesus promises eternal life to the one who gives all for Him.

“For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36

The soul desires nourishment and supernatural invigoration. Without the soul turned on to God, gains in the world come up short in the end. To love one’s self is to lose one’s self in the pursuit of Jesus, in order to gain the fullness of Christ.

You were made for more than earthly pleasure.

Jesus wants to satisfy you with supernatural bliss.

God promises to delight you with forever love.

“My soul thirsts for God, the living God. When shall I come and appear in God’s presence?” Psalm 42:2

The psalmist wanted to be in God’s presence more than all. The sheer desire for such an interaction stirs the heart with elation. If you want to experience more joy with the Lord, look forward to Him like lovers in love. Seek Him out and expect Him to be there when you call.

Surrender every moment and decision of your life to Jesus and experience Heavenly ecstasy. Vivacious liberation unfurls at the wake of abandoning everything to live for Jesus alone. Culture’s paradigms cannot point us in the right direction. The Word of God steers our way.

Life according to the world’s standards cannot fill the space inside the supernatural soul. But God satisfies the emptiness of every man and woman who comes to Him. He is our completion.

“For He has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:9

Jesus renews your life.

“The instruction of the LORD is perfect, renewing one’s life; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.” Psalm 19:7

Life renewal hinges on us hanging on every word of the Lord. His words challenge us into betterment. His words speak into our heart with the Holy Spirit. He words remind us of who He is, as we connect to Jesus here in this temporal world as we wait on His second coming.

Jesus will speak to you when you let go of living for other gods. Jesus is the only god. Work is not god. Goals are not gods. Education is not god. Achievements are not gods. Honors and merits are not gods. If we make gods out of the good things in our live, it will leave the soul feeling empty. Trust in Jesus as God and He makes the good things blessings we can appreciate, because we have not elevated them over Him.

Jesus always want to be in relationship with us. God does not send you messages accidentally. He speaks to you specifically and intentionally.

“My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.” Psalm 84:2
