“Inalienable rights! Inalienable rights are rights that nobody can take away!” The teacher sounded.
“What if I give them away?”
The teacher narrows his eyes on the inquirer. “I beg your pardon?”
“What if I give my rights away. To love my lover. Then no one would be taking them from me, but I would be laying them down myself. Christ said sacrifice was honorable, did he not?”
“Not at the expense of love itself, John.”
John retorts. “I thought giving was loving.”
“Giving away the right to love would be like giving away the right to breathe. It’s suicide. Not selfless sacrifice.” The teacher walks towards him and softens his tone. “True love gives love, and this act of giving is the sacrifice. You see? Love gives in such a way that depletes the self and completes the other. No one can take that right from you.”
“Except me.”
“Precisely.”
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:18
Never give up the right to love. Never give up the gift of giving love. Never give up the freedom of Holy Spirit passion coursing through your veins from God Almighty who called you to love with His Spirit.
Jesus’ love is the secret weapon changing the world. Changing our hearts.
Nothing will take God’s love away from Him. Though He gives up His life and all things for you, He will never allow Satan to rob His love away from Him. He will never allow anything to stop Him from showing you love. It is a right that He will possess for all eternity because love is His reason for creating us in the first place.
Love exists foundational to God’s heart as an irrevocable part of His essence.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:7-10
God’s love gets the ball rolling. We realize we have the freedom to love once we see God loves. He loves to love. He loves to enjoy loving us.
Enjoy love. ♥️
Love is meant to be enjoyed and cherished.
God’s love compels you to love.
Love exists because of His first example alone. “But that He loved us,” John writes from experience. He knew Jesus’ love was rare. It was unlike anything he has ever known before.
Denying the existence of love is like denying the existence of air. It exists regardless of our thoughts in the matter. Love cannot be undone. It often cannot be avoided. It cannot escape its exposing. Love always reveals itself because it cannot help but to show its substance.
God showcases love for a reason. God uses love to get through to us because it meets our deepest need.
Love is your deepest need.
look up
see love
in rainbows
over the ocean
where the icebergs
spiral into the woken
sea chilled by cerulean reefs
look up
see love
in sunsets
over the mountains
where the timber
falls in slow motion
at the sound of His anointing
His love is here
“Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.”
1 Corinthians 13:6
