against oppressed
stifled suppressed
enslaved distressed
attacked hard-pressed
waiting for rescue

He rescues them

reckless for them
restless for them
fearless for them
loyal to them
sun and moon
don’t keep Him from them
bravery shines all over Him

hear the beating of His heart
rally freedom in the dark
dawn arises like the stars
at the beating of His heart

wild heart
He kisses
with a wild heart
burning for me
churning for me
warring for me
writing every lover story
like it’s a sonnet in spring

fire sparks
from His wild heart
cedars break
by His wild heart
planets spin
at His wild heart
holding the universe together
in peace

tether me
to You forever
in the wildness
of adventure
love remembers
