Mission given. Mission accomplished. Objective set. Objective achieved. God finishes every operation with finesse and forte. He cannot surrender to the enemy’s grasp when He has a vision in mind. Jesus keeps going to win the victory.
“When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory,’ Oh death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’” 1 Corinthians 15:54-55
Jesus reigns with immortality, and so He is victorious forever. Death cannot triumph over God nor can sin. God swallows up every sin by His love. The law only perpetuates sin.
“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.” 1 Corinthians 15:56
Jesus cleansed us from sin by His sacrifice on the cross. His power is in His sinless life given for us, not in human law-keeping. Jesus alone saves from sin. Jesus alone saves the human heart with eternal life.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57
Jesus wins.
Jesus soars from Heaven as King to descend upon the Earth in need of redemption and ascends back to Heaven with us in His arms and our names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
“The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.” Revelation 3:5
You are victorious because of Jesus.
Jesus is worthy to grant you immortality. Jesus is worthy to open the seals that no one else can open.
“And I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, ‘Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” Revelation 5:4-5
Jesus is a conqueror. Jesus breaks the code. Jesus wins the war. Jesus looks into the future and writes it.
“And I heard every creature in Heaven and on Earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, ‘To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!’ And the four living creatures said, ‘Amen!’ and the elders fell down and worshipped.” Revelation 5:13
Jesus turns no’s into yes’s. Jesus turns impossibilities into possibilities. Jesus turns catastrophes into miracles. Jesus turns darkness into light. Jesus upgrades us from Earth to Heaven.
When Jesus accomplished His mission on earth, He went to Heaven and sat on the throne. Soon He will come again to take us up to Heaven with Him for eternity. Jesus told the disciples about this promise when He ministered on the earth.
“Then will appear in Heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:30-31
Why does it say the tribes will mourn? This refers to the nations and peoples who reject Jesus as King. But all will see Jesus returning in bright light and ferocity because He is God.
God is coming back for His Beloved.
God has a track record of accomplishing missions.
Create the universe in six days. Mission accomplished.
Come to earth as a baby. Mission accomplished.
Teach, preach, heal, work miracles. Mission accomplished.
Save the world. Mission accomplished.
Send His Holy Spirit. Mission accomplished.
Return to gather His people. Get ready… Jesus is coming back to accomplish this mission.
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
God always finishes what HE starts. God always accomplishes His missions.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8
God has already accomplished this final mission because He is outside of time. He is the beginning and the end. So He has already done it all. We wait for Him to do what He has already won as we experience it from our perspective and timeline. Then eternity will begin.
Love opens your heart to receive revelation from God. John saw this vision of the end times and Jesus returning and wrote it in the book of Revelation.
“And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new,” Also He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And He said to me, “It is done! I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.” Revelation 21:5-7
God says it is done. It is accomplished. My heritage is yours. My love is yours.
“And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the rulers of the kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all the tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-7
