Worthy… He calls you worthy. Pure and holy. Whole and lovely. God calls you His. He wants your kisses. Beckons your twists, twirls, and leaps into His chest where He stands ready to lift you up and dance with you across the sea. You will always be your lover’s Beloved.
“I slept, but my heart was awake. A sound! My beloved is knocking. “Open to me, my bride, my love, my dove, my perfect one…”
Song of Solomon 5:2
“His arms are rods of gold, set with jewels. His body is polished ivory, bedecked with sapphires.”
Song of Solomon 5:14
Who told you that you weren’t enough? Who told you that weren’t the one? You know you are. Love said you are. Don’t doubt the voice of love inside… it’s always trying to reach you.
Jesus longs for us to see more of who He is. We see this desire manifested tangibly when Jesus walked the earth.
In Luke 9, Jesus takes three of His disciples to a high mountain, where He transforms in front of them into glorious light. Heavenly light.
“About 8 days after Jesus said this, He took Peter, John and James with Him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.” Luke 9:28-29
These were ordinary men. Fishermen. Hard-working men.
These are the kind of men whom Jesus chose to show His glorious appearance to.
Men are measured by the love in their hearts. Who you are on the inside is your greatest power.
“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7
Jesus chooses ordinary men and women. People like you and me. To communicate His glory and teachings. To speak His prophetic utterings into the world.
In Luke chapter 9, God sends His voice upon Jesus to proclaim His pleasure for them to hear…
“A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him.” Luke 9:35
God the Father speaks affirmation over His Son.
God’s Son is in you.
Therefore, God is pleased with you.
“For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.” 1 Samuel 12:22
Listen to what Jesus says of you…
Jesus is the chosen One. And He says you are worthy of His love.
Let go of every voice that tells you otherwise.
calls to me
in the night
“I love you
tell Me You love me”
here I answer
like You want me to
and need me to
I’ll tell You
how I feel
will never stop
The voice of my beloved!
Behold, he comes,
leaping over the mountains,
bounding over the hills.” Song of Solomon 2:8
