Love Won’t Leave

Love dwells forever in the heart of God. It never stops. It never ceases. Love flames with fiery passion of devotion for His beloved. Let His love impact your heart. Let His love breathe on the earth from Heaven.

When Jesus left the earth after His resurrection, love remained. His Holy Spirit continued to connect the disciples to Himself. Love never leaves your heart when Jesus is your Lord. Jesus never loses His love for you either. Jesus always love His beloved.

“After Jesus said this, He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into Heaven.” Acts 1:9-12

Jesus comes back because He plans to be with His people. He orchestrated the entire story, so that He would die and come back to life and then return to the earth for all the ones who believe in Him as Savior. This is Jesus’ plan of love. Now we get to respond to this love and choose Him in return, despite the distance.

One day Jesus will return and there will be no more distance between us. The love that tethers our hearts to God remains now as it did at the beginning of time, and it always will remain.

Love is timeless.

Love has always existed.

Love lasts forever.

Love finds you unexpectedly and overwhelms your heart with what you did not know could exist. But once you encounter it, you know the truth: love is real. Jesus’ love transcends Heaven and earth.

Jesus promised His continual presence to remain with the disciples after He left.

“Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Jesus loves to empower you to reach others with salvation. Teach His words and proclaim His truth, for this honors Him with love in return. Love Jesus by sharing about Jesus everywhere you go. Love cannot help but to talk about its lover.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

God promises to be with His Beloved. Every moment.

John wrote to a family in his letter 2 John about the significance of walking in love.

“And now I ask you dear lady – not as thought I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning – that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.” 2 John 5-6

John exhorts this lady and her family to keep loving Jesus, because love is the center of life. Love is the center of relationship with Jesus. Love only originates from God Himself so by prompting her to love, he is essentially prompting her to seek Jesus.

Jesus generates love.

John also warns this lady to be careful of deceivers who are trying to distort the message about Jesus.

“For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” 2 John 7-9

False prophets were telling false stories about Jesus and trying to corrupt the gospel message. They were spreading wrong doctrine and deceiving people, saying that Jesus did not come in the flesh and that Jesus was not the Messiah. They were also rejecting the promise that Jesus would return again a second time. So John is making this clear in his letter that nobody should listen to that. This was prevalent during this time in the early church as the gospel was newly being spread. John exhorts her to remain rooted in the gospel of Jesus’ resurrection and the only way to salvation.

Jesus’ truth is irrefutable and every heart knows the truth of God’s supremacy because God made all people to know He is God. But many will deny this and suppress the truth as Romans 1 talks about because there are those who love to keep their sin more than confess them to God. Jesus will not be shaken by that. Jesus did what He came to do. Jesus still invites all people to have a relationship with Him.

Love never leaves God’s heart.

God will always love you. ❤️
