Jesus’ spirit lives captivated by love. He shines captivated by love. He glows captivated by love. Love defines everything God does in the expanse of a universe made by Him. It’s all for Him. Life and everything within the creation He founded. The hands of the holy one graced the empty space and formed from scratch every wonder unfolding before our eyes.
We glimpse moonlit rivers flowing freely from God’s design because of love. We behold technicolor landscapes of His artistry because of love.
Jesus was captivated by love when He created you.
Jesus was captivated by love when He saved you.
Jesus was captivated by love when destined you for Heaven.
Live captivated by love.
Jesus lives captivated by love. Love took Him to the cross and love lifted Him from the tomb to generate eternal life for everyone who believes in Him as Lord. If you want to awaken to new life, love is the only way.
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.” 1 John 4:9
Love is the solution for the world. Jesus’ love. Not the world’s love. Only the creator of love can define its meaning, and we need His blueprint to go by.
Jesus said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:11-13
Jesus’ example of love sets the standard. His love ignites joy that sparkles unendingly, for the steadfast of the Lord keeps its light burning.
Jesus’ love shines perfect.
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.” 1 John 4:18-20
Love perfects your heart with the confidence of kindness. Love. Mercy. You fear nothing when perfect love is present.
Perfect love increases joy from the Holy Spirit.
Jesus wants His joy in us so that our joy would be made “complete” as John 15:11 says. Thus, wholeness of joy stems from the impartation of Jesus’ own personal joy. The King of joy. The Lord of joy. The author of joy. The pioneer of joy. The wonder of joy is found in none other than the most exuberant one in all the earth and it is Jesus Christ. I want Jesus’ joy in my soul and so do you, because when we access this supernatural joy from God’s own heart, we cannot lose our joy.
You need joy funneling into your heart from God.
Receive Jesus’ joy in your life, so that no matter the obstacles you face, you will always have joy.
When Jesus told the disciples He would be leaving soon to ascend to Heaven after His resurrection, He promised they would have joy again.
“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” John 16:22
This tells us that sorrow also plays a role in the life of a follower of Jesus. And it results from Jesus being separated from them in proximity. But Jesus promises the disciples that He will see them again and so their joy cannot be stolen. When Jesus awakens from the tomb on the third day, the disciples’ sadness turns into joy again because they see Him in front of Him and know that He is their Messiah. So they are able to hold onto peace when He ascends to Heaven and go forward in the mission He gave them, to share the gospel with all people.
“No one will take your joy from you,” Jesus said.
Your joy cannot be taken.
Your joy cannot be tamed.
Your joy cannot be destroyed.
Your joy cannot be removed.
Your joy in Jesus is permanent. So there is nothing to fear, for perfect love casts away all fear. Rest in the confirmation of perfect love, saying you are approved and perfect in God’s eyes.
