“Rubies, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts!” Her hands investigate the texture of the dense gems layering the wall. Flashes of light bolt from its hues as Zion shines in every direction. “Remarkable,” she whispers as her fingers trace the mosaic.
“It’s hand-crafted.” A voice rings like waterfalls.
Her head swivels. The ground shakes as His footsteps move closer. He takes her hand and presses it against the gem-studded wall. A ruby falls into her hand.
“For you,” entreats the one with a golden crown. He closes her hand with his right. Blazes fire into her eyes from his own, aflame. “I have endless supply, after all.”
“My King!” a shimmering dove zips through the light and lands on his shoulder. “The elders beckon you in the throne room! A catastrophe at war!”
“One moment,” His eyes remain ablaze, fixed on hers.
“But its an emergency, Your Majesty!”
His right hand rises and smoke flares in the distance. The dove smiles at the motion.
“I already know,” He says seamlessly. “Nothing shocks Me in My universe. Send word to wait on My command.”
“Yes, my King.” The dove flutters its wings and pauses before exiting. Her eyes enlarge as she sees the ruby in the hand of the one the King holds.
“You are royal, dear one,” speaks the holy dove. Her eyes winks as she spirals into the air, flawlessly.
“Why did you choose me?” the girl asks, spellbound by the eyes of Zion.
“Because My heart has always adored you.”
Flash! Bright light cascades over the wall. Gemstones light up with scintillation.
“The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.” Revelation 21:19-20
God makes Heaven radiate for you. Royal hues of His own splendor arrange the decor of His lavish abode. Every detail, every crevice, every atom of His creation carries exponential beauty.
“And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” Revelation 21:21
Single pearls make the gates of Zion. Translucent gold paves the street where His holiness touches down. Twelve gates protect the city without compromise, just as the twelve tribes of Judah encapsulate the chosen people of God without blemish.
“And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.” Revelation 21:22-23
God is the temple. God is the light. God is the glory. God is the hearth of Heaven’s brightness.
