One with God… at the moment of His Holy Spirit’s beckoning. One with God… at the revelation He is King. One with God… at the dawning of the earth He breathfed transforming into eternity. New Heaven and Earth… is closer than ever… where we will dwell with the Lord forever.
Do you believe He is the Lord?
Do you believe He is the King?
I had a dream several nights ago… there was a worship singer I know of and she told me something that stunned me. She said, she doesn’t believe what she sings anymore. I asked her how could you not believe? Why sing then? She would not answer. A look of death and emptiness covered her face. I began to cry at the heartbreak of seeing what I saw on her. Like a curse that had overtaken her. Then I said, of all the songs you have sang I would have never questioned your heart. I wanted to heal her… But she said nothing and walked away. Then I saw a boy in her life. He had influenced her with his own unbelief and doubt, although he works in the same church. He had a tragedy in his life that made him stop believing but nobody knew the depth of his confusion. Everyone trusted him but he does not believe in God nor live according to Jesus’ ways. She listened. And she stopped believing.
Unbelief is a demonic plague on the church. Spewing death into it.
Guard your heart!
What you believe is central to your core.
Belief in Jesus unites us.
I hear the Lord saying… get unbelief out of My house!
Unbelief repels the Spirit of the Lord.
When Jesus ministered in the earth, there were places rendered unreachable because they would not believe in Him nor His power.
“And Jesus did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.” Matthew 13:58
If you live disconnected from what you believe, you are disjointed from yourself and confuse others. I’m reminded of Matthew 15:8 where Jesus said, “These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.” Let your heart seek the Lord and who HE IS. Listen to Him more than anyone else and base your faith on God alone, not on man.
When Jesus is wooing you… don’t turn away.
Respond to Him when He calls you.
Open your heart to Him.
The voice of truth leads us into His presence. The voice of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus said He would send to use in John 14:26 when He ascended to Heaven.
Remember who the Lord is and don’t let any voice you hear contradict that.
God asks you to decide what you believe about Him. He wants you to be His… He died to make you alive with Him as His treasure…♥️
There is no limbo in eternity. Only life or death.
Jesus says you need to choose whom you want to be. He teaches that this decision is the fulcrum of your spiritual existence. Do you want God or do you not want God? It is impossible to produce good fruit as a spiritual leader if you don’t believe in the God who is in control of the church and of the faith.
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.” Matthew 12:33
There are amazingly anointed leaders all throughout the church who lead from a place of intimate relationship with Jesus. They produce good fruit… you feel their spirit oozing out like Heaven.
But there are also other leaders all throughout the church who say they are Christians but they don’t believe in God, nor the Bible, nor His power, nor Heaven nor hell. They don’t have faith in God to do anything. They don’t follow Jesus’ ways. This is a serious issue of faith.
If you don’t believe God is God… that He can do anything… that faith is real… the the Holy Spirit is real… you have no union with Him.
Jesus calls it the unpardonable sin.
“Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.” Matthew 12:32
If God reveals Himself through the Holy Spirit and you reject that revelation and don’t believe, it separates you from God by your own choice.
May it not be so with your community.
Remove the hindrances contaminating God’s house.
Make room for honesty of heart.
We need the church to be unified and that only comes from everyone being on the same page with what they believe. Do you believe in God or not? If you don’t then spend some time away seeking the Lord on your own and ask Him to reveal Himself again by the Holy Spirit who already revealed Himself… that is the only way. Nobody can lead you into salvation except for the Holy Spirit who beckons you.
God uses people to prompt salvation but the Spirit saves.
Jesus came and He is the light of the world… the One who saves. He worked miracles. Healed. Saved. Yet in the Jewish elite many would not follow Him because they were worried about losing their status in that sector. Very interesting irony here. Earlier we have Jesus exhorting to make the tree good or bad. Rid out impurities from the house, the temple of God in your soul. Yet here we have leaders who refuse to rid out unbelief and confess Jesus is Lord, although they actually do believe it, because they are worried about losing power.
“But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.” John 12:37
Why did they not want to believe? There was a cost. In Romans 10:9, Paul says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved. But in this cultural context, you could lose your life for proclaiming Jesus is Lord rather than the Roman caesars were Lord.
Faith is a decision that puts your life at risk.
Are you willing? To sacrifice everything for your faith?
“Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. 44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” John 12:42-46
Belief in Jesus saves your soul!
To abide in darkness is to be disconnected from the soul. Jesus says you don’t have to live like that! It’s time to be honest about what you believe! Do you believe in Me or don’t you…
Why believe in Jesus and not profess it?
Jesus clarifies here that if a person believes in Him then it indicates they believe in God, the One who sent Him: the Father and the Holy Spirit. All three are the same person. Jesus was sent to speak of who God is and to personify God in the flesh. He loves you… so much… and He left the comfort of Heaven to prove that to you…
The church is at a crossroads with the substance of its foundation. Who is leading it? Time for the ones who know whom they believe to rise up and set the tone instead of letting fear of man dictate the narrative written by those who have power but do not believe in Jesus as Lord. Be discerning and cautious that you are not led astray by someone with authority in a church setting who utters things are in direct contrast with the Bible and faith in Jesus Christ.
The church cannot stand if it exists with leaders who say they believe in God but they don’t.
Because everything they say will not be coming from God at all but from a spirit of unbelief. The antichrist spirit. A faithless Spirit. An evil spirit. And it will divide the church. Jesus said in the last days many will fall away and it’s called The Great Apotasy (1 Timothy 4:1-4; Mark 4:5-6). It breaks my heart to know there are some who will not choose God, because I want everyone to know the love they could have with Him… a deep satisfying love… a holy love… a meaningful love and a full life. But it’s the reality nonetheless that this is what will happen. It’s the result of good and evil both present in the world and each person must decide whom they will serve. If they want to be one with God or be one with everything opposed to God. The devil himself had union with God in Heaven but decided He did not want to honor Jesus as King. That’s the difference. Those who want God and those who do not.
Leaders of resilient faith, step up and lead your church! Your community! Your locale! With the unified belief that Jesus is the King and there is no other. We will follow Him and not turn to anything that contradicts Him.
The church is meant to be unified by belief in Christ.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6
Without unified belief, the church is disjointed.
Belief unifies.
Even if it is a wrong belief, you will unite with anything that also shares that same belief. That is why it’s so important not to unite yourself with unbelievers in dating relationships. Even with those who say they are a Christian but don’t live like it. Or else you will be subject to their wrong thinking. What I also know is that if you truly believe something, you will not gravitate towards anything that undermines that belief. Rather, you will want to rescue and save. But don’t let your rescue mission influence your heart with their toxic ideologies. It’s possible to be a minister to people who need light, but not to let your heart get tethered to anything that rejects God. Be strong in what you believe!!! Jesus said, do not cast your pearls before swine lest they trample you underneath their feet.
Belief unifies you with everyone else who is unified in that belief.
Belief also repels anyone who does not share that belief.
That is why Jesus will return to rapture the ones who are His to be with Him forever as His church, and the ones who have chosen to reject that invitation will not come along. It’s not that Jesus wants anyone to be left out. But they do. They willingly reject Him as Lord.
In the soul God created, Romans 1:19-20 says that we all were created with the understanding that there is a God but they suppress the Truth by their own wickedness.
“Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:19-21
When you suppress the Truth, you suppress being able to connect with the Truth and thus you cannot connect with God either. Unbelief stems from rebellion. A rebellious heart that had been given the revelation that God exists decides to overtly deny that and decide they don’t want to live by that and they would rather believe in something untrue that accomodates their own lifestyle.
Don’t reject the One who loves you for a temporary freedom that will only end in death.
God has a better life for you!
The life of abundance and good things… I’ve experienced so much amazing enriching experience in my life with the Lord and it’s better than anything the world can offer. Jesus is better… let Him love you…
Jesus is the evidence of God and the evidence of all things being possible through Him.
“But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:22-23
I love Jesus’ inflection here. If you can! He says. What do you mean if I can? It’s not a matter of “if” with Jesus. It’s a matter of “do you believe?”
Belief releases so much more of life with God.
Jesus wants to do what only He can do for you… if you want Him to. If you believe He can… and that His Holy Spirit is powerful and the Father reigns. God is a trinitarian God. And every person of Him wants to work in your life.
Your miracle awaits your profession of Jesus as Lord.
True faith believes no matter what happens to them. It’s strong. Unwavering. Enduring. Alive. Because Jesus is still there and he is the treasure forever.
Build your faith on an intimate relationship with Jesus.
David says in one of his psalms of poetry and journaling… “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” Psalm 42:2
When can I go and meet with God?
I love David’s heart. David’s soul. David’s longing for God. His psalms. His desire. When can I meet with God He exclaims! He wanted to be with God so much that is permeated every part of His heart and oozed out of His words. From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. In the intimate and uncut moments of who you are, what you really believe drips out.
When can I go and meet with God? I love this question too, David… I can’t wait until I see Him coming back for us and we are in Heaven with the Lord forever… infinite bliss and the culmination of a life of waiting for the King.
He is our hope. The Lord. He is the essence of everything we desire.
And we are united in spirit when are unified in our belief of Jesus. I can feel David’s heart in his psalms because we are unified by the same belief in God, the Alpha and Omega. The Beginning and the End. The only God. The One true God.
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.” 2 Corinthians 4:13-14
The same Spirit of faith in Jesus Christ is the same Spirit of faith that unifies the body of Christ, the church. It’s the same Holy Spirit. And therefore only one belief. One belief in Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit.
The church is unified by its unified belief.
The church is upheld in the storm by its unified belief.
The church is protected from calamity by its unified belief.
And so are you…
unified
Your glistening Bride
we live to sing Your Name
always elated to feel Your love
where angels join in from above
our faith is one in You
our hearts are one in You
our hope is one in You
and we have won
by the blood of the Lamb
destined to dwell
in Heaven anew
forever
Your unified belief in Jesus in your soul makes you one with God and it shields your soul from calamity. Even in the most heart-breaking scenarios, God gives you overwhelming peace and trust in Him. I’ve experienced it. And countless others have too, who know what it feels like to lose something but to realize they have everything because of the Lord. He is our treasure holding us together…
One of the most prolific hymns ever written, called “It is Well” was written by a man who lost his whole family to a shipwreck in the late 1800’s. Years prior he lost his business to a fire and lost his son to disease. The man knew tragedy. He knew loss. He knew grief. Yet something inside of Him was alive and vibrant, never imploding at the wake of devestation around him. How could that be? It’s because of intimate relationship with Jesus. He gives us a Heavenly capacity for strength outside of ourselves. A hope unwavering.
The song he wrote is a song we sing still today. Almost 200 years later.
Why? Because it was written in purest heart utterance unto the Lord and that is what the Lord blesses and that is when the Holy Spirit speaks. The Holy Spirit is always speaking… no matter what is happening in the world around us.
True faith does not implode in the storm.
True faith is revealed in the calamity. In the tragedy.
Illuminated.
Dispatched in order to give hope to everyone around.
If faith can be lost in a tragedy then it was never real faith to begin with. True faith is unshakeable and it should be. We don’t follow a God of limitations and weakness. We don’t follow a dead being. We follow a God who rose from the dead and lives victoriously over every assailant in the universe! We follow a God of strength and infinite capability! He is a supernatural stronghold and the power of all glory surpassing and He lives inside of you!!! Don’t forget what kind of strength you have inside of you…
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
God’s glory is all around if you would see it… He is always present and He never left you… Let Him be your King. Your Lord. Your everything.
God’s glory unfurls for the One who sees the world through the lens of the Holy Spirit.
Open your spiritual eyes…
“Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40
In every season He is still the treasure.
And this echo of our hearts unites us… in a spiritual connection of oneness where the Holy Spirit breathes a cord of love into our hearts. We are meant to be God’s people. And we are meant to be known by Him and by each other. You share a deep bond with others when you are connected in your faith, united in belief.
Unified belief unifies hearts in holy love.
What is the song in your heart in the storm? That is the purest essence of what you believe. Ushering you into the Heavens to be one with God. Our lover… our treasure… our King. Jesus be exalted to Your rightful place.
shake the world
and I’m standing
twirling with You
in the ballroom of butterflies
that I feel inside when You hold me
shake the stratosphere
and I’m walking
on the waves
You speak in motion overflowing
gently sewing songs of wonder
in the sky far and wide
embroidering light
into My eyes
like You do
when You look at me
shake my heart
when You impart a touch of Heaven
and I will be
anchored in Your love
elevated to where You are enough
my King you are always enough
“They go from strength to strength, and each one appears before God in Zion.”
Psalm 84:7
