Wear His Name

Heaven’s veil drapes the crown adorned for His bride taking His name under the sunlight. Her crown dazzles from the jewels He made for her inscribing His name upon her.

“Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. Your hair is like royal tapestry; the King is held captive by its tresses.” Song of Solomon 7:5‬

Wear your crown. The one God gave you because He wants you to be His bride. Because He wants you to be His delight. Because He wants you to wear His Name, claiming you are His eternal flame… His love forever…

God wants you to take His name.

Cherish His name. Honor His name. Carry His name like a treasure of sapphires tucked in your heart and adorned in your soul for all to see. He wants you to wear it. He wants you to own it. His mesmerizing name. Gold is the way it shines in the love light of His eyes burning for you…

Love His name.

It’s poetic beauty… the name He goes by everyday and every night when the sunlight dips into the moonlight waiting for you to say it because you want to.

Say His name.

He wants to hear you say it.

“I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your instruction.” Psalm‬ ‭119:55‬ ‭

He will teach you… how to say it the way He likes you to say it.

He will show you… how to articulate it with passionate love.

“And the Lord said, “I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim My name, the Lord, in your presence.” Exodus‬ ‭33:19‬ ‭

Goodness finds you when you say God’s name. Say it and take it as your very own.

A name marks you.

What you call yourself influences you.

How you see yourself and identify yourself affects you.

God designed every human being with a name to be given on earth and in Heaven. When you are born, your parents give you a name they picked for you. But in Heaven, God will give you a new name He picked for you. Did you know that? You possess a God-inspired name that only He knows, and He picked it specifically with you in mind.

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.” Revelation 2:17

God tells the church in Pergamum that whoever overcomes in last days will receive a stone “with a new name” on it. God wants to give you a name known only by you that means something to you from His own heart. I believe this name is going to be a name deriving itself from God’s own study of us, knowing each one of us intricately so that he gives each person a name suited for them. When he gives you that name, you will know what it means and why He gave it to you. It will make sense. It will unveil who you are and encompass who you are all in one word, one name. This is a beautiful promise from the Lord who knows you intimately and cares about how he names us and speaks of us. His names us intentionally and with honor.

What you name something will impact it. Be cognizant of what you name things, people, ideas, and so on. A name given is a label or marking given, and name possesses a reflection.

“The nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.” Isaiah 62:2

The Lord will give a new name that shows the “righteousness” of the Lord’s own glory on you. This is a gift from His own holiness imparted. We cannot manufacture this on our own. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit. God’s purpose for your new name is to showcase the majesty of His people. If God is going to create a people, then they are going to be wonderfully dazzling people. He does not make anything less. This verse says all the kings will see “your glory.” There exists a glory saturating your aura because of God’s Holy Spirit in you. This is His gift of salvation and anointing, and He wants to show it off to the world. And anything he shows off gets a name, a fabulous name.

Your new name amplifies the beauty of God.

God also has a name that only He knows.

“His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He himself.” Revelation 19:12

I can’t wait to find out what this new name is…

He tells me

what He likes me

to call Him

when He needs my love

Your name is sweet

like raspberry dreams

of roses deep

in summer leaves

tell me

what You want me

to call you

my Love

God asks Israel to honor His name because God wants real, true love. He wants to be called by His name. He does not want His name embraced for what He can give or do. He wants His name embraced for who He is and for the love someone wants to experience with Him, just Him.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.” Exodus‬ ‭20:7‬ ‭

Don’t take His name in vain. When you marry Him, do it for love. Take His name because you want it to be yours.❤️

I want your name, God.

To be my name.

To be my lover love binded to me forever.

“May His name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through Him, and they will call Him blessed.” Psalm‬ ‭72:17‬ ‭

When you honor the name of the Lord, you reassert your respect in His leadership.

To honor one’s name is to give high esteem but to also protect it from slander. When you love someone, you honor their name by ensuring it is protected in its dignity and worth. You speak well of them. You speak highly of them. You take God’s name in vain when you fail to see yourself as His Bride, and instead speak wrongly about God. You also take God’s name in vain when you vow to Him but not for genuineness of heart, and only to get something from Him. God is not a God who exists only to give and bless. He is a God who exists to be loved. He wants a Bride who loves Him for Him. Don’t play with His emotions. Don’t tell Him you love Him but refuse to take His name as your own. Don’t tell Him you vow to Him forever if you don’t love Him for everything He is. God wants to be loved for who He is, not for what He can give you. Don’t take His name just so you can reap the benefits. That is not love. Real love gives and gives. Loves and loves. Forgives and forgives. Pursues and pursues. Sparks passion upon passion. Persists and persists. Regardless of what it costs. Love keeps loving in whatever ways it can love.

Seek to give. Love is a selfless exchange whereby two lovers give themselves fully to the other without any expectations. It’s only because the two lovers naturally love this way with generosity, that both end up feeling loved because they receive that love in return from the other. If you stop giving love at any point in time, then your lover won’t get to receive that love like they were designed to. Don’t leave your lover hanging. Keep showing them you love them.

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.” Jeremiah 2:32

Here God expresses His heart of anguish when Israel forgot to love Him… reminding us His heart yearns to be loved and doted on. He wants us to be proud of His name. He wants us to be passionately in love with Him. Don’t forget to love your lover. They need it everyday, every second, all the time!

God wants you to keep showing Him you love Him.

God wants you to have His name.

You ascend higher when you say His name. Wrap His name around your finger. Wrap His name around your heart. Around your soul. Around your crown. His name is highest holy ground. To hail His name is an honor. You glow even more beautiful with the name of the Lord beside yours. Claiming you as His bride.

“The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.” Proverbs 18:10

give me your name

and mine will shine

like the stars

at midnight

beauty

I love Your name, Jesus.

I like the way His name looks adjacent to mine. There will never be a moment I’m disinclined to bear it. I want to wear it everyday. Be the Bride of my lover’s ballet. Dance in the waves of wonder’s display of love and passion awakened by the Heavens cascading in the rain. My God is an all-consuming God… enflame with me with Your ever-flaming fire.

“They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.”

Exodus 39:30
