Enshrine it. Glorify it. The love of Jesus spilled out from sliced veins with heart beating. It beats for you. His. The heart that ruptured to give you infinite commitment of love persistent, romance intimate, touches intended to cross the boundaries infringing on the limitations. He obliterates every hesitation.
God won’t relent.
He pursues you.
Chases you.
Wars for you.
At the horizon of a blood-streaked cross, a Bride in white was born to cause the sky to elate, the stars to shred, the seas to split, the mountains to shake… as they watch the way her lover fights for her.
Jesus consummates His love when the canyons quake, the fires blaze, the ice escapes, the cosmos rage in tremors of Armageddon.
The Bride of Christ is here.
“Then one of the 7 angels, who held the 7 bowls filled with the 7 last plagues, came and spoke with me: “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb…” Her radiance was like a very precious stone, like jasper, bright as crystal.” Revelation 21:9-11
Jesus’ Bride glows with the light of Heaven.
He marries His Bride. Commits to His Bride.
Marriage. The topic is polarizing, isn’t it? Should you or shouldn’t you? Do you want to or don’t you? The ones who managed to ruin the vibrancy always have an opinion on the matter. “You don’t want it,” they say. They’re right. We don’t want what you have. We want the real thing. Not a paper ordinance that says “sleep in separate bedrooms” and “only eat before 7.”
“They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.” 1 Timothy 4:3
I like cucumbers. Don’t tell me not to eat them. He likes pomegranates. Don’t tell him to abstain. And marriage? You can try to prohibit it but that would be blasphemy. God likes it when lovers unite.
“A man who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22
Your blessing is connected to your sincerity of matrimony.
Jesus’ love for His Bride compels Him to pursue her all of the days of His life.
Jesus talks about the imagery of a wedding when he tells a parable to the crowds of people in Matthew 22.
“And again Jesus spoke to them in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.’ But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business.” Matthew 22:1-5
In this parable, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a wedding banquet. Some took the invitation seriously and others did not. Some wanted to celebrate with The King and some did not. What you value in the spiritual realm shows up when it comes time to celebrate His wedding.
Your excitement for His arrival stems from your love and anticipation of Him. Your eagerness to watch the Bride walk down the aisle sparks from your love of God’s own love story playing out, one of which you are the centerfold… because You are His divine Bride… His divine inheritance… His divine people… made in His image to dwell with Him, married to Him forever.
Rejoice in the wedding coming soon!
Rejoice over the Bride He came to woo.
“He who has the bride is the groom. But the groom’s friend, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine is complete.” John 3:29
God loves to rejoice in the groom’s delight over His bride. You also show love to the groom when you share in his delight over his bride. Affirm him and celebrate him. Marriage is worth celebrating and worth encouraging.
The Wedding of the Lamb is the denouement of God’s New Heaven.
Both the Bride and the Lamb are integral to New Heaven’s culmination.
“Let us be glad, rejoice, and give Him glory,
because the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has prepared herself.” Revelation 19:7
This verse says “let us be glad and rejoice!” You are meant to revel in others’ celebrations. In others’ love stories. In others’ glories. Selfless hearts celebrate others. All the angels in Heaven will celebrate over us when we rise to be with the Lord. All the seraphim will glide and glow over the Bride in whimsical joy because it delights their heart to watch Jesus marry His Bride.
I love that I’m Your Bride, Jesus…
I love that you are Mine, My love…
Jesus longs to marry His Bride.
Be His…
Be His Bride…
Be His treasured one. Claim your inheritance to His love.
You are the Bride of Christ. His treasured lover.
Honor your lover.
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10
Marriage is a beautiful picture of Christ’s own love. Meant for lovers who choose one another forever. You know your lover. And your lover knows you. Your heart craves to connect with your lover. Forever. Just as God designed marriage to be forever. You must ensure you marry the one you love… your lover is the one. Marry your lover. No one else but your lover.
“I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26:29
Jesus was so in love with His Bride, His people, that He still has not drank any wine because He is waiting to drink it with you and I in the New Heaven and New Earth. When you’re in love, you sacrifice anything for your lover. You want to experience everything with them for the first time. Conquer the world with them by your side.
He found me. Just like God orchestrated Him to.
Now our love story will be enshrined forever… because He wants it to. ⭐️
