Pearl Search

Pearl dust shimmers in his eyes as the search persists. High and low, near and far, from mountain to sea, he ventures to find the treasure of highest worth. “If only I could find the one I’m looking for,” he says. “My world would be complete.” Strength intrigues his feet to move, his heart to beat, his soul to persist in the shadows of the forest where the hyenas lurk.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.” Matthew 19:45

Rainforests open up into the beachside where coconuts speckle the sand and seashells galore like confetti. The boat is waiting to send him off into the horizon. “It’s now or never,” he says. With brazen grit, he moves towards the vessel of destiny’s portal. 1,2,3 sail! Waves crash over the boat’s edge. Teal blue waters splash into the deck as salt coats his face. He licks his lips and wipes his brow. Rows forward. Greets the deep.

“When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!” Matthew 19:46

Do you claim your treasure?

When you know the value of something, you give everything for it.

Risk everything for your treasure. Love is a treasure you don’t want to lose. Keep your brazen audacity for love.

Jesus’ love is a Kingdom of fearless love. Tenacious love. Risk-taking love. Unstoppable love.

Jesus is the precious, priceless pearl we could never give up.

Heaven is a treasure you do not want to live without. Jesus is a treasure we cannot live without. You need Him. For everything. Without God, life does not have meaning. With God, life thunders with exponential meaning.

We are the pearl of great price to Jesus. The one He risked everything for to leave Heaven and step into the world below that He made with His own hands. Jesus does not turn away His face from His beloved people. He sees us every second and rushes in to save with swift deliverance.

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind. When the net was full, they dragged it up onto the shore, sat down, and sorted the good fish into crates, but threw the bad ones away. That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous, throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Do you understand all these things?” “Yes,” they said, “we do.” Then he added, “Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.” Matthew 19:47-52

Share everything you have in your arsenal. Share everything God has given you by His Holy Spirit. All of it is transformative. Truth is a gem, whether it was an old revelation or a new revelation.

At the end of the world, the angels will come down from Heaven, sent by God, to separate the good from the bad.

But God’s Words will remain forever.

To truly follow God’s commands is to take care of others as we have been taken care of by God.

“Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27

A heart set free in Jesus notices the ones God longs to take care of. A heart loved by Jesus takes action. We protect our hearts from the world’s influence of unbelief, skepticism, negativity, hatred, and every evil under the sun by letting our hearts be saturated in His perfect love and example. We look to Jesus as the Lord of our lives, who teaches us all wisdom.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

Jesus Christ is the treasure who chooses you to be His treasure.
