Unwind… breathe in… the fresh air of frosted lavender and mahogany teakwood graces the forests for you. Breathe out… the aromatic essence of your aura ignites the lilies to bloom. Rest is found in this place of oneness with the Lord your God. The place of open skies. The place of fireflies dancing in the moonlight. Relax your mind, body, soul and spirit… let Him take over from here.

“Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Lean back in the arms of the Almighty outstretched to ease you. He soothes you. He takes every pressure, fear, fatigue, and anxiety weighing you down and gives you a new load to carry… one that enhances you on the inside so that it’s like you’re soaring through time at warp speed, effortlessly.

Jesus’ expectations are light.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Let go of the unreasonable expectations placed on you. No one owns the right to your time but you. Safeguard your days and cherish your nights.

You deserve the time to retreat.

You need the replenishment and refreshment.

Jesus comes to give you that.

Martha needed to learn this lesson on a very important day when Jesus came to dine in her house as guest of honor. Martha spent all her time working for the occasion that she missed the opportunity to be with the man of honor Himself, Jesus.

“But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to Him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” Luke 10:40

Jesus reminded Martha what was truly important: loving Him.

“But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good thing, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

Jesus is the good thing.

Rest in Him…

He fills us with every refreshment from His Spirit.
